I like the layout of the interior but agree about the cheap appearance of the materials. The modified version is nice looking but still reminds me too much of the Versa. Either way, thing thing should outsell the xA easily. More power, more room, more features.

I know it's cheap, but compared to the xA and the previous gen xB (which I owned) this interior looks to be made of subpar materials. The new xB's interior (aside from the seats) looks much better.

I think the exterior is decent to good with the bodykit/wheels, but the interior hasn't improved upon things that were shown in 10k cars in 1990. Its looks really cheap inside overall, a lot cheaper looking than the fit which was introduced years ago. I was really happy about the engine choice being the corollas, I don't know why it couldn't have corolla ce quality inside too in the seats and dashboard plastic.

I don't agree with that, the xd should be a 13k vehicle and thats how I look at the materials, the new xb will most likely be a 18k vehicle and I think the materials for that range suck too. I'd rather go after a new honda element sc even though it would be more expensive. Better look, better quality, etc.

I checked out the xD today @ Chicago Auto Show and I think it looks great for what it is. I would suggest it to my 19 year-old son as a daily driver. It looks good in person and should do quite well. I definately like it more than the Yaris but less than the Honda Fit.

Looks like a Toyota version of the Fit, which is due for a redesign

The exception are the seats, which do not look as nice as the previous gen interiors. And aren't you the one who accused me of having a Honda hard-on earlier? Now you can't stop making comparisons to the Fit and the Element. What's up with that?

I've never been a fan of Scion styling except for the tC, and as if the old xB wasn't bad enough, this one makes me want to

my old Xb was getting 35mpg mixed HWY and city. xD should be getting similiar if not better MPG than the Xb since it is lighter and slower
35-40 mpg alone is worth 13k nowadays.
