In standard form the 997 turbo produces 500PS (368KW) 650NM. The RENM Porsche 997 Turbo RM580 is modified to produce an impressive output of 580 PS (426kw) and 650 Nm of maximum torque.The increased output is achieved by re-calibrating the ECU parameters, fitting a performance exhaust system, full carbon fibre pressure pipe, air intake and sports air filters. With the addition of stronger output values, the modifications enable the RM580 to accelerate from 0-100 kmh in 3.1 sec and onto 200 km/h in 10.2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.
The exhaust system is made from T309 stainless steel and uses sports catalytic converters with flow and sound valve controls. The valve controller can be used to program and regulate the precise amount of exhaust back pressure.
A range of suspension upgrade options are available, suitable for Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) fitted models. The RENM Porsche 997 Turbo RM580 comes with 20-inch custom designed three piece forged wheels with titanium fasteners fitted with high-performance tyres. The tuning program also comes with the option of selected interior and other upgrade options, including an upgraded steering wheel and carbon fiber trim sections.
In terms of aerodynamic and ride improvements, the RM580 has a reshaped front spoiler inlet and a larger tail section. RENM offers various ride handling improvements, ranging from a spring kit that lowers the chassis by 20 millimetres to full hydraulic race lift systems. This includes special PASM compatible suspension that can be individually adjusted to suit various conditions.
