The only thing that took me some getting used to was the upper part of the dash. I wish Honda would have given it a Parchment dash too. I'm not fond of the two-tone dash, but this car overwhelms me so, I say oh well.

Thanks, I would love and endorse the E-Spec.

Add ventilated seats, better trip computer, power folding side-view mirrors and power tilt/telecoping wheel and you have e-Spec.

An optional intelligent key system would also be available.

I would also pay $40k for the E-Spec!

BTW, I actually think power folding mirrors are really useful, especially in Boston. Is there anyway to get these. In my Infiniti I know the Nissan counterpart in Japan had them and numerous people imported. Is this even a possibility?

What do you all think of the tires so far?

They don't seem to set up as high as the TSX (I may be mistaken about that), but they do sit up. So my answer would be no. Check out the picture in the brochure.

Tires and Tire Pressures

The tires feel fine so far, I have driven about 300 miles, both dry and rain, but they are too new to tell, give it 2K before you can really tell.

Will be interesting in the snow.

I have considered going to summers in the spring, but will wait to see how things go.

However, interestingly enough, the owners manual gives two different tire pressures for the MT vs the AT models and bumps up the fronts for the MT even though the AT is heavier in the nose.

Here are the Acura recomended tire presures:
--------------
AT - 32/32 (F/R)
MT - 35/32 (F/R)

All cars at speeds over 118mph - 39/35 (F/R) - for heating effect.
------------
I have already bumped up my AT to the MT specs and felt a little less sidewall roll, and a little more response. It does give a slightly harder ride on the fronts, but not very noticable, and worht the slightly better handling.

Have thought of the front rear sway bars, but will wait a while to see how happy I am with the car, and possibly maybe the brembos. So far the car seems to be pretty flat, but I have not pushed it hard, only about 8/10's

I had a 96 maxima that I did a plus 2 to it, went to 235/45-17's (same as new TL) a few years back, I found that the best tire pressure set up was 38/30 (f/r) vs factory 33/32 for 215/60-15's. The car was light (2800lbs) so the 30psi actually had the rears flat on the ground instead of like on the edge of a donought

The button is aggravating. Most of the CL's have the door lock button flush on the door panel.

1)Yes
2)Yes, the side mirrors are tinted blue to reduce glare
My mirrors don't seem to tilt down when I am reversing, not like '03 models. Is it just mine or '04 TL mirrors don't tilt when the vehicle is in reverse?

if you want the drivers side mirror to tilt leave the mirror switch on the left, if you want the right mirror to tilt leave the switch on the right. If you leave the switch in the center like in the 03TL nothing will happen.

Put the switch in the "R" position and the right mirror will tilt down in reverse. Put the switch in the "L" position and the left mirror will tilt down in reverse. In the center position the mirrors will not tilt in reverse.

-r

EDIT: On the CL, and I think also the 03TL and before, you have to leave the switch in the center position for the right mirror to tilt down in reverse.

Wow, I am learning something new everyday with this car. How did I not know this? I've been driving my fathers '03 TL couple times and thought the mirros were being tilted whenever you are in reverse. Thanks for your help guys.

Donuts for all!!!

It is a 16" wheel for the AT and a 17" wheel (wildly shaped to fit over the brembo) on the MT model.
