Volvo S40 priced at $24,190
Automotive News / January 05, 2004

Volvo will price the redesigned 2004 S40 sedan at $24,190, plus $695 destination, when the vehicle goes on sale in March.

That trim level includes a standard five-speed automatic transmission. A manual transmission version will arrive for the 2005 model year, and will cost less. The company says that the S40 price is 2 percent less, comparably equipped, than the model it replaces.

$33K for a top of the line 340hp rear wheel drive 300C? Hmmmm. Should be able to give a TL a run for its money.

I'm not sure how much the 300C will weigh but I imagine it shouldn't be much more than 200 lbs over what the GTO weighs.
