I was at a boutique shop the other day and the shop owner toured the Pagani factory and had a gorgeous book bought from there that he had for display purposes in his store.

Signed by Horatio himself too!

Press release for the Zonda R Evolutione...

The evolution of the species, the revolution in the concept of art applied to pure speed. Pagani Automobili unveiled the final version of the Pagani Zonda Revolucion to clients and family members during Vanishing Point 2013 - The International Pagani gathering.

The evolution of the species, the revolution in the concept of art applied to pure speed. Pagani Automobili unveiled the final version of the Pagani Zonda Revolucion to clients and family members during Vanishing Point 2013 - The International Pagani gathering.

The Pagani Zonda Revolucion is the apex of the celebration of performance, technology and art applied to a track car. Horacio Pagani and his team have created a car designed to amaze both on the track and in a car collection.

The central monocoque is carbon-titanium, the needle on the scale stops at 1070 kg. The AMG Mercedes engine is an evolution of the Zonda R powerplant. The 6.0-liter V12 now develops an output of 800 hp and 730 Nm of torque, resulting in a power to weight ratio of 748 hp per tonne.

The 6 speed magnesium transversal and sequential gearbox changes gears in 20ms. The traction control developed by Bosch with 12 different settings and the renewed ABS system, allows the driver to adapt the behavior of the car to his driving style.

The Zonda R program has always represented the highest expression of the technology at Pagani Automobili. The aerodynamics feature important innovations, like new deflectors on the front bonnet, as well as a vertical stabilizer mounted on the rear bonnet.

Pagani Zonda Revolucion also features a DRS (Drag-Reduction-System) on the rear wing. The system has two different operating modes, both can be activated by the driver at any time. The manual system is controlled with the DRS button on the steering wheel. The rear wing changes between maximum and minimum downforce settings, at the occurrence of a lateral acceleration of + / - 0.8 g and a minimum speed of 100 km / h. Holding down the DRS for more than two seconds engages the DRS to work automatically according to the algorithms developed by the Pagani Automobili engineers during the development phase. The result is a car that is always fast, a strong performer able to take on any circuit in the world.

The Brembo braking system adopts new cutting edge F1-tecnology derived CCMR discs. With a weight saving of 15% compared to the previous CCM discs, the CCMR offer higher stiffness and lower operating temperatures on extreme track use. This contributes to the life of the disc which is increased by four times, with no sign of fading and a significant overall increase in braking power.

Pagani Zonda Revolucion is the ultimate experience for individuals who want to experience the thrill of an extreme track experience, in a safe and intuitive machine. Pagani Zonda Revolucion, like all creatures coming our to the Atelier in San Cesario sul Panaro, is tailor made. An object where art and science blend to create a perfect synthesis of technology, performance and aesthetics. A new masterpiece signed by Horacio Pagani.

Pagani Zonda Revolucion is on sale at a price of 2.2 million Euros plus taxes.

Horacio Pagani, Owner and chief designer of Pagani Automobili:

"Limits are made to be overcome. We knew that Pagani Zonda R was already a fast car, the fastest ever on the Nuerburgring Nordschleife. We knew it would be very difficult to design and build a car that was even more extreme. But thanks to the creativity of our designers, engineers, and the whole Pagani family, we created a beautiful object and the fastest Pagani vehicle ever. A car that I am sure will electrify all our customers and fans all over the world."

Yup...in the master's very own personal vehicle the he designed. It'd be a once-in-a-lifetime moment for anyone who appreciates Paganis brilliance in car-making...

Sigh.

Some tidbits from here: http://www.gtspirit.com/2014/02/14/o...-in-hong-kong/

A brand new Pagani Zonda based on the most potent 760 model has been revealed and spotted in Hong Kong by Ron Alder W Photography. Dubbed the Pagani Zonda 760 Fantasma, this is just the fourth of the Zonda 760 series following on from the Zonda 760 RS, 760 LH and 764 Passione.

However, unlike the previous three Zonda 760s, this car actually has quite a rich history. It originally left Pagani’s Italian factory in 2005 finished in 2005. It was the first right-hand drive Zonda F produced and chassis number 53. As a matter of fact, this very car was commissioned by Peter Saywell who later sold it and had the stunning Zonda PS produced.

The car was then purchased by a buyer in Hong Kong and fitted with a new set of black wheels. Then, in early 2012, the stunning orange Pagani Zonda F was destroyed in a high speed crash after colliding with a tree and then a column. As a testament to the rigidity of the Zonda, the driver walked away uninjured. Now, the car has been completely rebuilt from the ground up and we now have an essentially brand new Zonda appropriately named ‘ghost’ in Italian.

When originally ordered, the car was set to be called the Pagani Zonda SH (the initials of its owner). However, the mystical and far more interesting 760 Fantasma name was ultimately chosen. Just like the other three Zonda 760s, the 760 Fantasma features a carbotitanium chassis, an upgraded 7.3-liter V12 engine delivering an insane 760 hp as well as the host of visual transformations.

These include a completely redesigned body with a new front fascia incorporating the LED daytime running lights of the Zonda Tricolore, four prominent carbon fiber canards, new lightweight wheels, a massive Cinque inspired carbon fiber roof scoop, huge rear wing and the prominent central carbon fiber fin. It is also fitted with a sequential gearbox like the 760 RS and unlike the LH and Passione which are both manuals.

The stunning bare carbon fiber incorporates a traditional carbon finish while the rest features an awesome red tinge.

Here's another unique Zonda...the "GJ" version...

And for sale too: http://www.gtspirit.com/2014/02/13/f...gani-zonda-gj/

German supercar dealership, Amian Cars revealed that they have the unique Pagani Zonda GJ for sale. This particular car was rebuilt by the factory following a crash in Scotland back in 2010. It was originally offered for sale at auction but has since been sitting at the factory after it failed to find a buyer.

The car started life as a Pagani Zonda S 7.3 litre with a silver exterior and a black interior. After the accident, the owner received a record payout from British insurance company Aviva. The was then taken to Pagani where engineers replaced all body panels with carbon fibre parts and repaired any damage caused by the accident.

The car then left the factory as a Pagani Zonda GJ. It features parts from the Pagani Zonda F and Pagani Zonda R. When it left the factory it was fitted with a matte black wrap. It now wears naked carbon fibre and a red stripe along the lower panels!

It features the ram air intakes of the Pagani Zonda Cinque together with its canards and italian flag design side view mirrors.

It is a 2004 with 24,200 miles on the clock. The engine now puts out a healthy 625 hp coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

For BoostedJack/Altegris since they're buying: http://amian-cars.com/fahrzeuge/paga...dition?lang=en

Fifth And Final Pagani Zonda Revolucion

High res pics of this car were posted here a few days back: https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...ostcount=13058

From here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...bows-in-geneva

At this week’s 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Pagani is showing off its fifth and final Zonda Revolucion, which means production of the Zonda line of supercars has reached an end. Sadly, all five Zonda Revolucions built have been sold, with this particular example, which wears blue carbon panels, destined for a customer in Japan.

The Zonda Revolucion is strictly a track toy, as it can’t be registered for road use and doesn’t adhere to any particular motorsport regulations. But it’s possibly one of the fastest track toys money can could buy as it’s capable of setting some incredible track times.

Pagani hasn’t provided any performance figures just yet, but the company says the Zonda Revolucion is more extreme than the previous Zonda R, which set a 6:47 Nürburgring lap time back in 2010, so expect even better numbers.

The car packs Pagani’s latest technology, including a 6.0-liter AMG V-12 with 800 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. That power doesn't have much vehicle to push because the Revolucion weighs in at just 2,360 pounds.

Joining the mighty mill is a carbon-titanium monocoque chassis, track-tuned suspension, six-speed sequential gearbox, carbon ceramic brakes, and active aerodynamics complete with a Formula One-inspired DRS (Drag-Reduction-System). The latter has two different operating modes, both of which can be activated by the driver at a push of a button on the steering wheel.

Pricing for the Zonda Revolucion was originally set at 2.2 million euros (approximately $3 million).

As mentioned, the Zonda Revolucion marks the end of the Pagani Zonda line of supercars. The very first Zonda, the C12, made its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show back in 1999. It, too, was powered by a 6.0-liter V-12 engine from AMG but developed just 389 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Over the years, numerous Zonda variants have been launched including a roadster in 2003. The last of the road-going Zondas were the ‘760’ series launched in 2012, one of which is owned by Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.
