NOW which exterior color looks best on 04 TL?

I just have to say that my impression of the TL's colors is completely different now that I've seen them in person (the anthracite and the white diamond pearl were stunning). I just wanted to do a repeat poll and see if people have had a change of opinion after seeing the different colors in person.

I am sticking with my original choice of Deep Green. I think I was the only one who voting for it originally, but now seeing it in person it looks even better to me.

Actually I think the TL looks good in all of it's eight colors, but my favs are green, anthracite, desert mist and white. Everyone says the blue is cool, but I have not seen one yet except for pictures.

The blue is very impressive. I haven't seen desert mist, so I'll hold off completing poll. I didn't like the green at all.

Anthracite. I think it will look great against the black, Brembo calipers and 18" ACura rims.

Silver. It looks so great in the early morning light. I would even say that it transforms into an off white color just after sunrise. Later on in the day it metamorphoses into a more regal silver only to change back to its morning color as the sun returns to the horizon.

Having now seen all exterior colors in person (except red - has anyone seen one?), I like the anthracite the best. The deep green is a close second, but IMHO the AM/Q combo can't be beat.

I can't believe the white diamond pearl has only received one vote. I recently saw a WDP/parchment TL w/ kit and BSM. I think that car has convinced me to get the kit...

I voted for anthracite, but the WDP is a very close second and the abyss blue is right after that. There's a thread on vtec.net where people are unhappy with the colors Acura chose for the TL. IMO, the only problem is that they chose so many that I like, I had a hard time deciding...

Changed my mind to silver, which I bought after much color consideration.

The white pearl is unreal. Shows off the lines of the TL the best.

I just read it and they are a bunch of whinning idiots. They are complaining the colors are boring and how they need a TL-S with more power and brighter colors. WHATEVER! to them!!!!!

I agree completely -- I've never really liked white cars (they just don't turn my head the way darker colors do), but when I saw the WDP TL, I definitely had a spiritual moment.

I now understand why so many here and over in the TSX threads are upset about the lack of a WDP/ebony option...

Which is easier to keep clean? Which show more dirt? These questions are to try and compare the Anthracite vs the White. Both look great, but which will look better longer for the lazy person?

Lighter colors are easier to keep clean and show less dirt than the darker colors.

I voted for the Black, but I really liked the white as well. And, I'm not a big fan of a white car either, but that one definitely deserved a second (and third and fourth ) look. Hubby LOVED the anthracite.

Still no red on sale?

I guess the fact that I'm currently the only one to vote for red means either that it sucks as a color or that it's still rare.

Anyone selling a redondo red? Anywhere? Bueller?

Gunn Acura in San Antonio has a red TL. It was on display in the San Antonio Auto Show. It is a non-Nav with a Camel interior. It was still on the lot yesterday.

Red would have looked better if it was a firey color like the RED TSX.. More Bright.

I actually like the redondo red much better than the TSX or S2000 red. It may not be as sporty looking, but it adds a touch of elegance to the car.

I think that Desert Mist may be the only color I don't like on the TL (and that'll probably change once I see it in person)...

Ya you are correct, the redondo red is like a classy, elegant color for luxury cars..

Bright Red would be more Sporty type..

Same with the Blue..

Compared to prior poll, main thing I'm noticing is that Abyss (deep blue) has fallen off a cliff.

How come?

In the photos the Abyss blue is really sharp, but in person and close up the pearl effect tends to come on too strong, IMHO. It "sparkles" and if you like a lot of color flakes in your paint it might be fine. I tend to be conservative and wanted more of a luxury car look, so I was only looking at the dark colors. I did not want black, so that left Blue, Green and Antracite. After ruling out the blue, I saw the green and the pearl effect is much more subtle and I would have ordered that, but both interiors, as much as I wanted wood, were too strong and contrasty for me. I then saw the anthracite/quartz and my search was over. (Notice that quartz won the interior poll.) It is so classy and coordinated. It is just AWESOME.

It works for me...that means fewer people will be driving around in the same color car as me. Actually, I think some people stay away from black because of the maintenance it requires.

I think that in the vast majority of cars, black is a beautiful color that turns heads (when clean, of course). On the TL, however, the car's distinct agressiveness is hidden by the darker colors. As has been mentioned here before, lighter colors like Anthracite, SSM, and WDP bring out the TL's lines and therefore emphasize its character more...

Drove by the dealer lot today and was surprised how much I liked the Desert Mist (I usually am not that big a fan of gold). The color really made the sculpted contours stand out. The color looked good with the black molding around the doors/wheel wells etc.

Thumbs up

I'm anxiously awaiting Redondo Red or White with Parchment.

But...I think black would really be nice on this vehicle because of the area around the license plate and because of the area below the front bumpers both appearing to be black.

I think this is one vehicle that would really look good in black even though the black would hide its lines somewhat. I just stay away from it in large part due to how easily it shows blemishes and scratches.

Anthracite Metallic, I just bought mine Friday and I love it. I also love the way the Quartz interior looks in person. Great combination!

Very nice combo! Anyway to take a few pics of it? Maybe some with the doors open to show the how well the quartz looks with the anthracite.

I second that for pics as I am set on Anthracite, but am undecided on Quartz or Ebony

I LOVE the dark blue. It's what I'd wish the TSX had been offered in. But we got "burple"(officially stated by domn, I believe)

I ordered anthracite/camel. You all aren't giving camel a chance. It isn't orangy at all. It is a rich buttery caramel color which gives a rich contrast to the anthracite. When you slide in, you feel warm and cozy and luxurious. It's cheerful, like a sunny day. ebony and quartz have a cold, industrial feel.
and, Every girl knows theres nothing classier than grey cashmere under a camel coat! This car will be just the reverse.

I was hoping for the blue (even put down a deposit) but I was disappointed when I saw it. In shade it looks like I hoped, but in bright sun it gleams with a bright flickering look that I found unappealing (cheap?) My wife felt even stronger. We went for the black, which in bright sun has very subtle blue flecks-- closer to what I expected from blue int he first place. Now we have to keep it clean of course!
