Those are the only photos available online. It is being said that this is the finalized production version. http://www.autocarmagazine.co.uk/ Besides the obvious similarities to the 350Z and G35C... Is it me or does the hood/headlight arrangement remind of a cross between the ZZT230 (current) Celica GT-S and the JZA70 (1986-1992) Supra Turbo? |
eh, i'll believe it when i see it. it took me a little while to get used to the concept, but i think its a 10, its looks like the supercar it is.
http://images.usatoday.com/money/gallery/tokyo/gtr.jpg nissan can't afford to screw this thing up by making it look like a rebadged 350z or something. |
i really like the look of the lights and hood in that pic on the mag cover.
that concept is so ugly....yet so hot! :yum:
shit thats expensive...any word on when it will make its way to america, and if it actually will compete with the nsx for price? :(
AWD 400hp for $95,000
damn...that is expensive. |
fuk...well its cheaper than ferrari ;)
Hehehe...Concept makes me want to say "To the batmobile, Robin..."
how fake!
i can guarantee all you skyline fans out there that the upcoming supercar will not only be fast as hell but will look very, very tempting.

better have more than 400
whats every mag using the same photoshop? hopefully nissan will release an update at the tokyo auto salon this year with the direction they are planing to head.
looks a little too Zish.
Nice, but how real???
I have not seen this photo before. Actually the reason I believe this photo is because it does look like a Z. It should in theory.
yeah...if they use the Z and G35 platform to build the GT-R, they will all look similar. I'm not a big fan of that nose. Seems like there's too much surface area.
So what was the estimated price again? $90,000? |
That is the worst photoshop ever
If that's the car. I rather get the old one.
uglu rascal..........but why get a nissan when you can get a toyota????;)

http://www.studiobroken.com/gt2.jpg http://www.studiobroken.com/gt3.jpg http://www.studiobroken.com/gt4.jpg http://www.studiobroken.com/gt5.jpg This above says 350-400 PS but...now I am reading the engine will make 480HP! Holy moly, if true! The engine is still "called" as a 3.3 liter V6 biturbo. That's 145.45 HP per liter! Not bad for stock. I am guessing they "un-bored" the 3.5 VQ engine in the Infinitis and Nissans to thicken the walls for better durability. Hence the 3.3 liter figure. A method followed by others in the past (like Audi). That's totally a personal guess. And that's IF the engine is the one the rumors call it to be. I am just thinking, how can you not have a V8 for this thing if you're gonna bring it to the USA market. Hmmm.... |
Better.....but still....what happened to my baby? :'(

Look like 350z front and g35 rear end
Sorry...not feeling it.
Hrm...doesn't look like Nissan is addressing that bumper issue as reported in other posts either...too bad...:(
completely photochopped. The engine is just the Z 3.5 with some color added and made to say 3.3

Hehehehe.... I hear ya...
I'd love to have it in any form...
It's just a sick fucking car...that's it. I'd prolly have to take it to Dover Downs just to open it up though... |
I love it! I'm gonna keep my CL and save $ till that comes out.
I like it but I like the R34 a little bit more. The new GTR looks sweet though and I'm glad its in between the G and Z!
Very nice. It will grow on me like the R34 did.
it has the same rear end as the pics of the new supra. not really feeling it :dunno:
Doesn't really excite me.
hopefully their will be a real updated gtr concept at the tokyo auto show. i can't see nissan building a gtr concept only to use the base skyline coupe body like these rags try to suggest, makes little sense and would be a waste of money.
Looks like a glorified g35 coupe. My one and only true love from nissan japan will always be the r34 skyline gtr vspecII
I can accept this looks. But it should be under Infiniti instead of Nissan in order to justify the high price. Nissan already has 350Z, no need for another pure sports car.

Nissan to sell next sporty GTR globally
JAPAN: Nissan to sell next sporty GTR globally - report
22 Oct 2003 Source: just-auto.com editorial team Nissan will market from 2007 a new model of its flagship sports car, the GTR, as "a global car," president Carlos Ghosn said on Wednesday at a round-table meeting with the media, according to Dow Jones. It will be the first time for Nissan to market the model globally and Ghosn said the company will launch the model in markets including the US, Europe and Japan, the report added. The new GTR is expected to be the successor to the Skyline GTR model, which was launched in January 1998 and [theoretically] available only in Japan. Nissan stopped marketing that model in August 2002, Dow Jones said, noting that Ghosn declined to provide any sales targets for the new model. |
1. The news to the above is that the GTR will probably have very few differences as sold between continents.
2. The reason it was discontinued was mainly the engine not being able to meet emissions regulations and probably the fact that the team was given the directive to rethink the whole strategy of what the car will represent in each of the different markets globally. I have faith in Nissan to make the right decisions. Lately, that's all they have been doing. |
