They're selling like hot cakes now ... why bother? Plus ... AWD is 'reserved' for the GT-R anyways ...

Question: why does the name "GT-R" imply Infiniti and not Nissan?

I guess if the platform stays the same for the G, it's called a reskin. That's my guess.

Right, but I was under the impression that the G would move to a shortened version of the M's advanced FM platform. Whatever... look forward to seeing if they can fix the interior.

They have it in the Sedan, the G35x, they already have the system it, plus would make the coupe much more enjoyable in winter

It'll also make it heavy and slower. I say just have it on the GT-R, that way it'll be even more exclusive.

The current M is based on a slightly modified G platform. It's an evolution of the FM platform, not a new platform.

Yeah. But I thought it was so heavily revised that it had a seperated designation.

i just wanted AWD on the G35 coupe cause I want the ability to drive my car all year round even in snow and most of the time RWD sucks in the snow. i can't afford to keep the TSX and buy a G35 coupe at the same time. my dad has the G35x sedan and it's hella fast, but i don't like the G35 sedan's looks too much.

It's more of a modification than an 'advanced form' of it.

Mind you, the car looks like a G35 with bigger wheel wells...so, although it's a nifty in my books, big deal?

This has been coming for about as long as the next Supra. I guess all of this sourceing out of parts of the car keeps the cost down - Nissan has been good at that. Note that Cosworth is massaging the existing VQ - not developing something new from scratch.

What do you expect, Nissan hasn't been showing anything. If people see what the next gtr looks like, the whole next gen skyline, sedan and coupe, will pretty much be leaked.

That's a damn good photoshop but the rear needs to be widened if the front is going to be.
