Next Gen. Opel Zafira News

This is Opel's new Zafira (GM's minivan in Europe under the Opel badge). The interior has been shown here for the first time. The Zafira is based on the Opel Astra platform (the Astra is Opel's competitor to the VW Golf in Europe - the Golf and Astra cars are like the Camry and Accord for us). The engines are expected to be the same as that of the Astra's. It will be in dealers' lots next summer.

I posted this in lieu to the thread about GM's next generation minivans I posted earlier today. Just to get an idea about what GM is selling in Europe.

For a minivan one size class below the ones popular in the NA market, I think it lookds good. I hate that gold color in the first pic. The Astra's a good car and the logical choice for a base... one things for sure though. This doesn't look like a space ship. Hopefully that was an exaggeration (from the minivan thread).
