Both the front and rear are heavily cladded. I think the real car (what's underneath) won't look Maxima-ish at all. Nice find.

It doesn't look like it will be much bigger than the '04 TL. But it looks promising....

It sure looks like it will be the next gen RL. The door handles are just like the Accord's and TSX's.
Let's just hope the car is way too over-cladded and that the actual car looks nothing like this... I think the car looks too much like a Camry by looking at the sides. Or let's hope it's just me...

Let the speculation begin!

RL Specs:
Engine: V6, 290 HP (Honda has yet to produce a six with >300 HP)
Drivetrain: RWD (refined 6MT from the NSX)

But what I'd really like to know is ... are the window controls the same colour as the interior lighting?

Well...I really like what I see, even w/ the test mules! WOO HOO! It does look very sharp--though I can't see the TL too much (in what we do see) It looks sleek, smooth, and rounded--the TL looks sleek, smooth, and square. The rear-end looks a little BMW 7-ish. I really like those pics! GREAT FIND!

As to speculation: I say a 300 hp+ (combined) w/ a V6 and IMA--meaning AWD, not RWD. I think we all know that there's no chance for a RWD Honda sedan. I also think there will be a 6-speed MT...Acuras are looking very sporty. NICE

fugly ... so far. The tail lights look Nissan. And when is Honda going to come out with an 8 cylinder for crying out loud? Come on Honda, think 8; not 4, 5, or 6.

You guys do realize that the spy pics show the RL with solid front and rear masks (instead of tape and leather masks)? I'm just baffled when people say they don't like the way the front or rear look...we're not looking at the RL, we're looking at the ugly stuff covering it.

Yeah...I was kind of thinking the same thing--about those who don't like it . But I guess the same could be used on us who like it already

Anyway, let's trust Acura again--they'll make us a good, stylish, powerful, and performance oriented car. The TSX and TL should help us trust them

I personally don't like the way the solid cladding looks, but I must say that I am impressed to see the use of such extensive means to conceal even the moderate details of the front and rear ends.

Or maybe Honda is constructing a "choose your own custom bumper cover program".

The dual exhaust is a nice addition and looks much better than the exhaust on the new TL.

It's sexy!

What I mean, is that I like the basic shape and those areas which are not disguised heavily. It looks promising.

Anyone think that the back left side window looks a little disguised? I don't think the rear window curves that way (without the help of black tape)

yeah the rear window is covered. i lightened the pics so you could sort of see the body lines. looks like honda is pretty serious about hiding the front and rear of the car

Speculation - 4WS?

Is it me or does it look like the left rear wheel is turning in slightly? It is pretty evident in the "rear shot" photo.

Brings back memories of my 4WS Prelude.

i was on the vtec.net forums and someone said this might be the TL for the overseas market. i think he was right. looking at these pics and pics of the new tl, they are very similar. this is what i noticed:
there is a rear sidemarker right behind the fuel door like the tl.
the high mount 3rd brake light.
the way the hood opens.
the shape of the doors.

whatever these are pics of, the new rl concept will debut this fall. so we'll see if these really are spy pics of the new rl

I like how Acura's rear doors are cut now - very crisp. I noticed a side crease too, ala TL, but it is higher - noticeable from the rear
