06 M3 is looking viciouss, i wanna see that thing in person. the taillights of the 3 series look terrible, maybe it mite look better in the US

 

I think it looks great..front and back. I just wish the XM radio thingy didn't look so much like a fin. I hope the M3 doesn't look like that cause if it does I'm gonna be so frickin envious of anyone that has one!

I'm thinking BMW will stay pretty conservative with the 3, since it racks up 70% of their sales volume... don't want to shoot themselves in the foot.

Got the Banglebrows on the front too. Looks better on 3, especially the M3 than the 5 and 7.

The bulges over the wheels are nice!

TSX has nice bulges too viewed from front.

 

The coupes will be called 4 series, but the 2 door M car will continue to be called M3. BMW was going to change it to M4, but decided that there was too much history and image behind the M3 name to give it up for the coupe.

 

Thank god because M4 sounds like shit.

 

These look like crap. And yes, M4 sounds stupid.

 

The front looks pretty nice to me but the back makes me think of an older japanese design. And, what's up with that crease running front to back at door handle level? It looks really pronounced.

 

Not as bad as I was expecting it to be. It looks as if they took the jagged edges of the X3 SUV's headlights and made it more coherent.

 

The Paris autoshow is only a few weeks away - the real thing will be unveiled then.

 

uh hum....I'm still neutral so far...but won't make a full judgement till I see the real thing..

not bad, look like a bigger 1/2 series. I hate the headlights though.

 

Looks a bit too aggresive. Like everyone else, I'm fond and more attracted to BMW's old classic conservative styling.

 

Apparently I was wrong about the intro - I'll get to see it first hand at the Geneva show here in March, but by that time the real thing will be rolling off the assembly line.

 

The taillights and headlights on the sedan above look different than the official ones - I like the ones above better, especially the tails. The official ones don't look so well integrated into the overall design.

Wonder what the official M3 will look like - the fender flares in the pic above make it look like a scale model toy to me.
