^It doesn't look so hot to me either. Don't like the looks of it as much as the exterior.

Looks better than the 7 interior so far but not great as far as these pics. Think Audi/VW just moved another step ahead.

How could MB do such a good job with the new ML interior...

....and manage to completely screw up the S class (their bread and butter car) interior???

Cool, the steering wheel has a D-pad. Maybe you can use it with GT4, like a DFP. or some PSP controls. yes.

What i hate about the 7series and this is that they went with the minimal look.

I LOVE lots of buttons! Give me that!

I've always loved the S-Class...but at this point, I would have to say I'd take an A8 instead....or, god-willing, a 06/07 S8

HAHA. that interior looks like a minivan, you gotta be fucking kidding me MB. this is so ridiculous is laughable.

i noticed that once i mentioned hyundai everyone chimed in. the car does look like a ripoff, similar to the hyundai thats copying the new lex GS.

fucking germans. go back to the drawing board, lift up your skirts, grab your balls and design a fucking flagship automobile. they had it right 5 years ago, i never even liked the current gen.

those front wheel arches is absolutely absurd and should not be on a car like this. i understand they are trying to make is more modern, but why cant the grab the old big body design and make a retro type version to it.

ford did the same thing. they realized the mustang was starting to look like crap, so they took their older, classic, most grandeur design and did a retro version.

Sad that MB did such a good job with the CLS, SL, ML, and E class and then turn around and do a shit job on their flagship.

MB needs to go back to the drawing board with this one.
- Shifter on column
- Using a system like I-drive when most people hate this feature
- Horrible design

Can't say I'm liking it so far. Interior looks like a BMW and exterior just isn't appealing. The CLS would be a better S-class than this.

It's clean, imposing, and big. That's good. It lacks the elegance that oozes from the CLS though, and that's not good.

It's bigger than the current very gen, and has the road presence of the last gen. Love the coupe-light greenhouse. Absolutely nothing wrong with the column shifter, lol. The new Command looks more like i-Drive, a huge mistake.

The one in the middle (dark red) with those wheels on looks very sharp in my opinion. I think that overall it looks great and it will look a lot better live I am guessing. Good job DCX.

this s class and current 7 series put a shame to flagship luxo cars. call me old school, but late 90s 7 and S were way nicer. more flagship and stood out fromt the rest.

There's no denying the design perfection of the last generation 7 series. IMHO, one of the best designed cars ever.

No doubt

At the time these old BMW's were still in production, all I could think about was picking up a 740 il off lease. Now with the changes, I rarely even think about BMW, except for the M3 which is due to meet the butchers block oh so soon.
