Looks like Benz is trying to steal Jaguar customers away with that interior.

I dunno, I'm obviously not feeling it, I've LOVED the stiched seats in the concept(x-pattern{pure bentley}) but I see the same old thing in this production car, oh my 'command center' with everything I don't want thanks(hey it has #'s omg). Lame also, Jag dash, yes even the mid jaq has what MeC call 80k, kinda beat imo-th3 MeC malfunction dash.

Low ass rear entry(rear door entry), umm no headroom<rx8, hey MeC(mercedes'y'chrysler), suicide, werd. Silly ass idea, coupe>sedan no matter how MeC adds it up.

First of all. This is not a coupe... I'm sick of this. MB thinks it's so damn hot it can redefinie traditional automotive definitions now... it's a absolutely beautiful car (in and out). And MB is billing this as a competitor to the 6 Series to slot between the CL and CLK. The only problem is, IT HAS 4 DOORS!!!! When potential buyers visit the MB lot, there's no way the sales people will sell these people on the idea that it's a coupe. I'm sure it will sell, but people will view it as a sedan that MB put inbetween the S and E Classes. There is a $20K gulf between those cars and the CLS will fit inbetween there... atleast in the consumers eyes. It will take sales away from both cars, especially since this is a new model and the new S Class is still 2 years away. Mb is dumb... just take the rear doors off, damnit.

i agree that the second pair of doors does kinda make this car confusing to the public. it would have been better for them to have the second pair be less conspicuous like on the RX8. suicide doors, no outside handle or a very small one, something to that effect would make this car much more believable as a coupe.

Mercedes CLS Class AMG News **CLS63 at Geneva (page 6)**

Spy Shot: Mercedes CLS 65 AMG - - - Source: 4car.com

The concept of a four-door coupe didn't initially appeal to us, but you have to admit that in action at the Nurburgring, the Mercedes-Benz CLS looks stunning. Especially in full AMG trim: this is the CLS 65 AMG. Fitted with the same engine as the CL 65 AMG - a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 delivering 612bhp, 738lb ft of torque and sub-4.5 second 0-60mph acceleration - and AMG Speedshift five-speed auto transmission, it's likely to be one of the ultimate super-coupe purchases of the next few years. Even if it does have two doors too many.

I'm not feeling the styling too really. Looks too long to me... BUT, those engine specs are amazing. WIth 600hp and 700+ torque, it better run sub 4.5 second 0-60!

Wow that’s gonna take some getting used to as far as styling goes. From the side it looks pretty good though.

Can't argue with those numbers.

i thought the 7G was intended supposed to be put into the new AMG's because of torque issues with the 5 speed.

The 7G's got less torque tolerances than the 5 speed auto. Usually the more gears you add, the more difficult and expensive it gets to add to the max torque tolerance of a tranny.

So in a case where you have a few select vehicles like the AMG 65 line, it might have not made economic sense to add to the cost of the 7G and made it able to withstand 700+ pounds of torque.

Plus, with this enormous torque levels and I am sure, flat torque curve, you dont need more than 5 gears, as long as they are well spaced out.

Holy fck

That car is so badass! I dont understand how some of you aren't feeling the look, I love how MB is going out on a limb for them as far as styling goes. The motor goes with out saying and would make any car an object of desire, but its the styling that sets this car apart. Its guaranteed to be a classic.

That is without a doubt the best looking Mercedes-Benz currently in production. IMO.

The CL and SL series come close, but there is something about that car that makes me
