^^ I think the problem is perception. To me and many others these cars look like you are trying to be something you aren't. I mean, at least throw a respectable engine in the thing like the 3 series so it looks like you weren't a total brand whore.

i agree. It's gotta have some zip. RIght now, if you buy one you are a brand whore. The other problem is the fact that we come from a society of XXL cars, so we have to a have a total perception shift. People across the pond have no problem with small cars. We'll see what happens.

WTF are you talking about. The top engine in the car will be the 3.5L V6. That's an extremely respectable engine.

272 horsepower from 3.5-liter V6 is not respectable IMHO. Not when it will be competing with the 1 series. Neither is 0- 62 mph in 6.3 seconds.
