Mercedes-Benz: CL-Class news **2011 CL63 AMG Revealed (page 8)**

look at the power ratings for this car........ insane!!!!!!!

now THERE........ is a car. For Christ's sake the car should come with a tire trailer and and extra set of rims mounted on Hoosier racing slicks!!!! geez.... too bad there's no pic.. now - can you imagine - an SL65........

Mercedes putting finishing touches on more powerful, turbocharged 6.5-liter V12

Mercedes-Benz’s appetite for power remains unfulfilled, according to press reports in Germany. Not content with the 500 hp delivered by the supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine found in the SL55, the German carmaker is putting the finishing touches on an even more powerful, turbo-charged 6.5-liter V12.

The new powerplant, offspring of the 60-degree unit used in the upmarket Maybach, produces more than 600 hp along with 723 lb-ft of torque. The new engine is due to appear in a CL65 AMG model slated for launch later this year

I'm not sure if having the most hp is the right way to go. MBZ needs to make their cars a little lighter and work on their handling to better balance their cars. The heaviness holds back responsiveness and handling, which to me is just as important.

good point... if they can make a car that handles like a Viper or something, WITH the power of their crazy engines... then they will have something on their hands.. but right now, it's just crazy mad power... I don't know what "war" they are fighting, but as for now, I think they've won!!!

But yet, I'll take my SL65 in silver....

I don't think they're making "sports" cars here, damn, did I really just say that after seeing those numbers? They're making cars with the ultimate combination of power and luxury. They're a status symbol...and I'd love to have one.

The grille is kinda big and bulgy......almost like a toned down M45. Other than that....H-O-T, at least what we can see of it.
