MDX: the best selling SUV in Ukraine
Funny: From a source of Autocar.ua, I have read that, Ukraine now is not only famous in Europe for buying (with Russia) more Mercedes S and Mayback than Germany, but for another reason: it seems that EVEN if there is not official dealers of Acura in Europe, the demand of the MDX was SO great in this country during the 2007 and beginning 2008, that the MDX were sold MORE than the everytime best selling X5 and Q7 (officially sold of course) that were second and third!!
The demand is so big, that many dealers (grey dealers) refuses selling them because from the USA the offer is very limited... and clients have to wait 5-6 months for getting their MDX...

It's a very good business if you have at least half a million $ for beginning.
Many dealers work with 4-5 brand, not more: Lexus, Merc, BMW, Audi, Infiniti, or Cadillac, Crysler, Chevrolet. The Acura's ones are getting more and more popular from the 2007.
Consider: container 2500$, custom 20% VAT, and 15% taxes, the marge for the dealer it's quite good: 20-25% for each car.
Your werhouse has to count not less than 20-25 cars for getting money back.
A car that costs 35.000$ in USA, in Europe can easy costs two times more.
For example getting a BMW X5 4.8 in your werhouse for 100.000$, you sell it for 125.000$ (it's however much more cheaper than the european one in euro).
They offer 3 years of garantee and 50.000 km.
Not bad.

Don't they sell very well in the USA as well. I think the Lexus RX outsells it but it outsells the LX, X5, and FX? I might be wrong on that but I think thats been the trend.

MDX is nice, but I don't think I can afford how much gas that thing consumes let alone any huge SUV right now. I think the biggest crossover/suv i would buy would be either an Outlander or Forester.
