On either side of the "Acura" on the front bumper, there seem to covered holes. If this is what you're talking about, they look to be mounts for a license plate bracket.

if that's what it is, they should have put it in between the air intakes or something not in front of the bumper.

thanks for answering my question, it took 66 people to look at this threat before you responded !!

You pry out the small circle and then screw in the tow hook.

i'm talking about only one that you see on the right side of the bumper, like SSM-TSX said is probably the Tow-Hook,

I can deal with those two little holes your are talking about right next to the ACURA logo ,but the big one is the one the i find a little bit odd,

I assume that means bumper damage, e.g. scratched, deformed, cracked, warped if your car needs to be towed.

That hole looks too small to insert a hook and tow the car without doing some kind of damage to the bumper. Is that hook for flat bed purposes, elevator style towing (lift the wheels up), or both?

These links should work for everyone..

Hook In

The hole covered

edit: You won't damage the bumper/cover if you remove it carefully.

The hooks are usually used for transport purposes.

2008 Acura TL tow hook cover install

I was wondering in someone can explain to me how to install this tow hook COVER, it's a small circle with an a tail at the back with an arrow. Don't want to break it, but I can't seem to get it in. Acura wants 60$ for the install which is ridiculous since it would take them like 3 seconds to do it! Plz help?

Good idea but I'll just close this over 9 year old thread and let it and the OP can repost his question in 3G TL, where the experts reside.

And welcome to the forums, OP.
