The thing is, as much as I dig this car, I hear that Lingenfelter's dead...so, why's his signature on the engine?

Here's a thought however. Say you drove that normally ON the road without speeding and stuff, how would the cops ever catch you?

if the cop knows about that edition, then have a body shop fill in the Lingerfelter in rear.

Nice car, but I think I’d take TWO Z06’s and get some change back before I bought this thing.

What good is this car if you're making all that power but can't drive it on the street?

Sign me up for a Z06 instead.

All you are paying for is the name. LPE doesnt make suspension, they get it from other places, same with most of their components. There are guys on the LS1 forums that have that much power on a stock LS1 346ci motor. The only thing they do is go forged internals. Shit, with a 427, they should be hitting close to that number with no FI. I guess LPE is going the conservative route. There is a performance shop in LI that's called the Vette Doctors, they have an all motor 600 plus horse 427 that is a daily driver.

Post Wide-Body Kit For The C7 Corvette

Source: Lingenfelter Unveils Wide-Body Kit For The C7 Corvette

It’s been a while since we last heard from Lingenfelter, but the tuning firm, based in Brighton, Michigan, has been toiling away on some interesting new products. One of these is a new wide-body kit designed for the seventh-generation Corvette.

The kit widens the all-American sports car by roughly two inches either side. It consists of wider wheel arches as well as a new front splitter and rocker panels. Lingenfelter also adds a carbon fiber hood extractor to give an aggressive, tuner look. With the kit installed, you’ll be able to install 20-inch wheels rocking massive 335/25 size tires.

And to ensure that your C7 Corvette has the go to match its new show, Lingenfelter offers a supercharger package that even with mild boost pressure will see the stock 6.2-liter LT1 V-8 spit out 624 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. Along with the supercharger, in this case an Edelbrock E-Force TVS2300, there is also a high-flow exhaust system incorporating Kooks headers and cat-back Corsa pipes.

According to Lingenfelter CEO Ken Lingenfelter, the body kit and engine upgrade remains well under Corvette Z06 pricing, making it a good option for CorvetteStingray owners seeking a distinct look for their car plus plenty of performance but without breaking the bank.
