how handsome I am
E92M3 > IS... oh.
nevermind.
I actually began leasing an is250 recently, its really not a bad car whatsoever. Feels like im riding on pillows whenever I drive... lol. Not quite sporty though, but it picks up when you need it.

The 300 here has 228 hp, so even if they sold the 300 in the US, it's not like it would take away many sales from the 350, as that car still has a lot more power to offer...

From Worldcarfans...
We got a first glimpse of the facelifted version of the Lexus IS last month when a few scans of the model's official brochure leaked out, the images were little more than teasers though, showing only small details of the model. New images of the model have now surfaced, after the Japanese automaker bypassed the more conventional method of releasing content through the press and posted the official photos on a number of its websites.
Blink and you may miss the new 2009 model, updates are kept to a minimum. The front bumper has received some minor changes giving it an aggressive spoiler type look, the side mirrors get an update too. Other changes previously reported on but unconfirmed include new 17 and 18in alloys, new exterior colors, and a new Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) stability control system.
We expect to see the model debut at the Paris Motor Show next month, therefore it shouldn't be too long before full official details are released.

The most obvious change is the more "normal" side mirrors - the previous ones just made the car look like Dumbo.
Obviously Lexus didn't have to spend much money on this MMC - it's selling well. And the bump to the IS300 was probably killed due to folks wanting something with better mileage.

They added more LEDs to the taillights. The current one has like 4 bulbs that light up
And smoked wood FTL. I hate those.

so they added a wood option that nobody but a moron would buy and a couple lightbulbs in the tails.
thanks, lex!
Then again, this car is perfect for what it is in the first place.

it's still a great looking car to me.

I like the IS too. But the new side mirros and the additonal LEDs do a lot for the car IMO.

Have you see it in person? Dark wood is actually very elegant and modern. check out the gray poplar wood or dark bamboo in BMWs. Go well with a sporty car, unlike the traditional brown or red wood.

while i'm not a fan of wood trims and prefer the aluminum or even fake aluminum style, the dark wood is what i'd go with if i had to choose a wood trim.

And the brown wood on the current IS is actually very nice.

Sooooo, these are the revisions I'm seeing.
- Front bumper
- Grill with thicker chrome trim
- Mirrors
- New tail light design with distinct LED pattern
- New wood trim
They should have revised the power output of the engines, like 225 for the IS250, and 330 for the IS350, just to compete with the G37.

the 250 with AWD is an acceleration JOKE. plus numb steering. nothing says sporty about this trim, except for the looks. although considering the new A4 pricing...this car is a steal, competitively. esp. when it comes to leasing. the 350 is a completely different beast however.
