This thing is going to be awesome. Thumbs up for Toyota for putting all the effort in and NOT QUITTING at the very end.

The looks are really growing on me. I'm going to enjoy all the GT-R comparisons.

Lexus LFA with no camo.

http://www.sema.org/sema-enews/2009/...15594x57165818

With cameras mounted inside and even its own camera car ahead, Brenda Priddy’s photographers caught the upcoming Lexus LF-A supercar in Hollywood mode, with nearly zero camouflage.

The most ambitious effort yet from Lexus, the LF-A is expected to arrive with a 4.8L front/mid-mounted V10 making more than 550 horsepower. It’s also expected to carry an appropriately powerful price when it goes on-sale in 2010: around $400,000

Not impressed. Pretty boring and ugly, even if it does still have camo.

Exactly. It looks like a car that competes with 370Z's and Corvettes, not Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

Pics with that camo already came out before, and last I checked the car was supposed to be $250,000, what the heck happened.

No, but this car looks like it could fall within either of their classes, based on exterior appearences only.

I agree...but they should have just given it a V6 and priced it near the Z and G37 coupe

Nice looking car but not the price tag. This thing is no where near a 400k car.

Looks like it'll be at best a $100k car. Who knows though, maybe its all-aluminum construction with extensive use of CF to save weight. But an MSRP close to a Carrera GT? Sorry but if I had that kind of scratch, brands aside, I would surely spring the extra change to get the CGT. I just don't see how Lexus can create something with performance that exceeds the CGT, but then again weren't there reports of the LF-A prototype running the similar times as the GT-R?

$400K, what are they smoking? Who would actually buy this over a Ferrari 599 at that price point...

maybe its a strategy - announce it at that price, and then like a year later slash it in half and then hey super value and it'll start selling like hotcakes.

just looks like the evolution of the supra to me...

shouldnt cost more than 150k and even thats pushing it. Toyota has never had a car cost that much and people will be hesitant to pay that much for it even though the damn thing will probably run forever

I wonder why people think that just because a car company has never had a high-priced car before that somehow they are not allowed to ever have one? At one point Porsche had never had a $600k+ car before but that didn't stop them from charging that for a CGT. Cars should be priced according to what technology and R&D went into poducing them. It shouldn't matter that Toyota has never had a high-bucks supercar before. They do now...

if you have the chance to own one of these ($400k+) babies someday, I'd love to be your friend

I doubt it though.... Lexus is just as likely to put 3 pedals in their ubercar as Mercedes is

it's a problem when you can buy a LAMBORGHINI that has similar specifications and performance for 1/3 (or 1/2) the cost! something just ain't right. if it took them that much R&D to get to THAT point, they did something wrong. and they should eat their mistake.

That may be but we still don't really know how much Toyota is going to charge for this car nor do we know how fast it actually is either...
