I like the overall silhouette, but the details don't do much for the car.

oh, n/m, it says "circuit mode" so i'm making a wild guess that's a track map? still quite bizarre.
overall like the dash/instruments/wheel/console. not too shabby at all.

Seriously.. Here is what its for:
The most striking aspect to the LF-A’s design is its confident, sheer yet fluid surfaces. In particular the way the car’s shoulder surface splits to twist inwards and down into an air vent rearward of the door, and twists outward and back over the air vent to then flow into the rear deck. With air out-letting (with fan assist) through large grilles just below rear lamps that bleed across the upper fender surface, the car works best from the rear three quarter – the frontal aspect being a little pinched and complex.

I like it in general but think the 100K+ price tag may be a little rareified for Lexus considering it has ZERO sports car clout. Don't care what Gilbo says without a three pedal car in the mix it will be dismissed.
Even if this thing is extremely fast and capable I wonder if Japan can compete in this market. I think brand equity means soooo much here, something Acura learned with the NSX, it beat the poop out of the flawed 348 but never sold well enough to develop the chassis and 355, 360 and now 430 appeared and beat up on it to the point after the first 355 flogging it almost never was even mentioned anymore. My question would be say someone has $110k to spend on a sports car and this hits and beats the GT3 in hard numbers, how many will choose the Lexus over the Porsche. To high dollar sports car buyers image and history mean a lot when it comes time to plunk down the money, Lexus has very little racing cred and zero sports car cred, at least Honda has F1 credibility (thus far as an engine builder) though not much fendered car cred outside Asia and has produced a solid sports car despite letting it stagnate. I have to agree with Sam Mitani that Japan can not build an exotic.

BUT....something in the back of my mind thinks that Lexus has the ability to pull something amazing out of their ass.
If not...then they are just competeing with the SL55...
Lexus does not have race car cred...but toyota does...
I truly hope Lexus surprises and owns us all...but at the same time...who knows.

Production 2008/2009 Lexus LF-A to cost $170,000
Toyota will put its stunning LF-A supercar concept into production in late 2008, according to a report from Tokyo cited by Edmunds. The car is expected to include a front-mounted V10 engine with over 500 horsepower. The car will sell for $170,000 and will underscore Toyota's new F1 connection. The car will go head-to-head with the 2008/2009 Acura NSX, the report says. Recently, we cited a Road and Track report that confirmed Lexus had approved the supercar project.
