You know something? I have yet to see a picture of this alleged latchless $29,000 Mercedes C-Class that CL6 was referring to, which was supposed to set the standard for the Lexus... I call

Well I think some cars have a recessed inverted latch. But I think you generally don't see these in upper end cars. Moreso in sedans and such.

Since you are an "internet manager" do you point out to customers the difference in door latches? Has it ever been a deciding factor in a sale?
Has any customer said "You know I was interested in that BMW but the door latches are just horrible, I'm looking for top quality door latches"?
I can see it now...
"Let me show you what we offer, top quality door latches. Not even Ferrari can match them. Look at the detail of these door latches"!!!!

Ok, one more...
Has anyone found a single car without door latches yet?

Okay, you clowns...please, back on topic. I think we get the point of the door-latch.

how is providing evidence - albeit excessively, but only to further drive home the point - of this car not falling short in the area of door latches in efforts to qualify it's place in the clearly-debated question of the validity of its super-high pricetag not staying on topic?

^ You might be over it, but you just can't resist parting with ANOTHER completely inaccurate criticism of the LFA.
Uh... What? I said it was a joke and it's over. Why must you continue to bring it up?
1) Look again, the LFA does not share its door latches with the Yaris, the LFA one doesn't have any screws exposed and it looks very smooth (and the black part looks painted, so SOMETHING was done to alter its appearance). Look at the Ferrari 599 latch, it arguably looks a lot worse than the Yaris, and yet it's never been considered an issue.
Again, IT WAS A JOKE. I'm sorry it hurt your feeling so much but honestly, is all of this necessary? The Ferrari door latch is not an issue. Who ever said it was? When did I ever even say that the LFA door latch was an issue? Do you see whats going on here? You are bitching about something I never even said.
2) First the issue was that door latches must be hidden on expensive cars or else the LFA is not up to par in "attention to detail", but on a 1 million Euro Aston Martin it's sufficient to just paint the latch a different color and that's good enough? And making it a "different shape" like on a Lambo is suppose to make it prettier than on the LFA/Ferrari? That makes no sense.
Of course it doesn't make sense, IT WAS A JOKE. A joke that I didn't even start. Please, be mature and end this.
Come clean and admit that the LFA door latch is not an issue AT ALL when it comes to attention to detail. It's just fine compared to the competition. Admit that the car has adequate "attention to detail".
A tissue for your pain?

Let us all get this right and soak this in. Instead of talking about the carbon fiber weaving, the V-10 engine, the ceramic brakes and all its technological features, you are stuck on "door latches" like a 3 year old.
I'm not stuck on anything. Put your Hooked on Phonics skills to work and read. I didn't bring it up nor did I drag it out. Any post that I made about door-latches was in response to another persons post.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about "door latches" on ANY car let alone exotics like these. Belzebutt and others have called you out on something so insignificant its sad you brought it up.
Again, I didn't bring it up so quit targeting me for your anger issues.
Then you have NO PROOF it shares any door latch.
LOl the sad thing is that you missed the ten million times I said it was a JOKE. What proof do I need to prove it was a joke?
You have 31 posts in this thread just trying your best to destroy this car.
And you have NOT A SINGLE POST in this thread talking about this car. Your only recent posts consists of attacking me.
Sarlacc got it right the first time.
It is embarrassing to talk about door latches on exotic cars. This should be linked to FerrariChat. They would die of laughter.
Again, when you can't think of something to say on your own, you gotta just continually quote others. Sad.
