Lexus: GS News
As predicted by the Spies, the HPX Crossover concept car featured many details that may make it into the GS-series.
Look for a Lexus version of iDrive and the AWD system of the HPX, to be implemented, into the GS-series.
Prototypes are currently undergoing testing at the Nurbrgring racetrack and engine and suspension tweaks are being done with the help of the Porsche engineering team in Weissach, Germany.
A concept version of the car will be showcased at the Tokyo Autoshow this fall.

Another iteration:
ANd more info:
New Toyota Aristo, known as the Lexus GS in the states, information is available in Japan. The new Aristo is supposed to debut in Japan in the Spring of 2004. Toyota made a complete exterior style change and we're not sure about what the interior is going to look like as of this moment. The current Aristo was famous for their I6 turbo, but things change and they are going to stop the production of the turbo engine because of the emission problems faced by Japan.
The new Toyota Aristo, known in the United States as the Lexus GS-series, recieved a major facelift in Japan. They will come with a 3.5 liter V6 engine. The engine code is 453F and the specs are as follows: 280hp @ 6400 rpm, 238 lb-ft @ 4000. The 3.5 liter V6 engine seems weak for U.S. but it is strong enough for a small country with narrow roads. Japanese have to say "good-bye" to the famous I6 turbo engine but they will be satisfied with the new 3.5 liter engine.
Other rumors for the GS that is bound to appear in the states is that they will come out with a 3.3 liter-V6 and a hybrid 3.3L as well. The hybrid is also rumored to come equipped with AWD. Also, the 5.0L V8 that is going into the new LS and SC will more than likely appear in the upper scale GS.

That top one looks hot as hell to me. The rims look like a Bimmer's, the front lights resemble a TSX somewhat. It all comes together to make a really attractive looking car in a picture. IMHO.

2005 Lexus GS News **Specs (page 5)**
The photos below are supposed to be actual shots of the new 2005 Lexus GS but turned out to be another set of doctored photos of the HPX but could help us picture the next upcoming GS. They were found in an article that is currently available in stores in Japan. Look similar to an HPX? Yes. Inside sources have revealed that it's supposed to share similar styling cues.

i like the idea of it sharing design from the hpx cause it was beautiful in person. these pics though are out of proportion so its not working too well-like an a6 with 24" rims. hopefully the new design leaves the current one far behind.

We'll see. Those pics to dictate the new Lexus styling direction. Instead of all the models looking different, Lexus is gonna try this "let's all look the same" CRAP. Fock that, I don't want my car looking like a 3/5ths LS.
I am sure the interior will be top notch as well as everything else improving. I am just worried as shit about what it will look like.

For some reason, it reminds me of a G35...particularily in the headlights and rear. And those rims are just plane fugly.
It's not a horrible looking car...I'm just not a fan.

Gavrilil, that last pic u posted is like 4 years old, that is a chop bud. LF-S is confirmed to be next GS, with RWD and electric motors powering the Front, so it will be AWD. Supposed to be a techno marvel too.
This GS will be the first Lexus sold in Japan and dictate the new Lexus styling direction....

Lexus GS concept?
Perhaps this is the concept that's going to be the NAIAS in 2 weeks? It's basically the Tokyo concept car with an interior and side mirrors.
