I think both versions have Direct Injection. i.e.: the IS350 has D-4S version with direct and port injectors where the Camry/Avalon/RAV4 version has a single injector (D-4)

Correct if I'm wrong here.

The TL comes with a cassette player, I saw it at the dealership last week while going for a CSX test drive.

This ES actually looks good, although overall it's still a bit porky. But way, WAY better than the old ES. Looks like it's unanimous.

damn...another lexus car that i like

front reminds me of the RL but from the side, it definitely looks like an ES. and overall, has similarities to the rest of the lexus line-up.
very nice!

my favorite thing about that car is the engine start button.. i still have never pressed one of those before.

but thats actually a nice ES. a hell lot nicer looking than my mom's current ES330 that shes dragging around. plus shes already thinking to get rid of it. the bulging bugeyes are creeping her out right now.

Let me tell you... pushin' the start button's a cool as feeling (my dad has the new GS). I never liked the curent ES's styling (those bulging eyes freak me out too). But I think this version will be perfect for my mom.

Hmm... it probably will look better and less noticeable in person

Good job Lexus!
I don't see anymore similiarities with this new ES with a Camry anymore I don't think.

^ Actually, now that I've seen the entire dash and console layout, the oval top of the console doens't bother me nearly as much as it did before. I think the interior's beautiful.

I m beginning to think i made the right choice when i waited for the IS. I might just jump into the ES instead. I wonder how much a decently equipped one would cost.

BTW, casette space = ipod adapter.

Damn. I hadn't noticed that before. I wonder if that's done on purpose, or a preproduction defect.

That would be sweet if they turned the cassette deck into an ipod dock where you just insert it like you would a cassette

This turned out to be a really nice car.

Looks like the console is positioned towards the driver

Probably wasn't necessary but in the end it most likely makes things easier to reach.
