Final Lamborghini Reventon Arrives in U.K.
Press release...
Lamborghini delivered the last of its 20, one million euro plus taxes, Reventón cars this week, to a British customer of the official Midlands dealer, Lamborghini Birmingham.
“Our client was understandably delighted,” said Lamborghini Birmingham sales manager Dominic Mulvey, who accompanied his client to Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata-based factory near Bologna. “Lamborghini’s President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, personally presented the Reventón to its new owner who then drove off in his new car.”
The UK-bound V12 Reventón, number 20 of 20 with a minimum 650 hp and a top speed in excess of 211 mph , is the last of the Reventón cars, all of which were sold prior to its public reveal in September 2007. It is the only Reventón being delivered to the UK. The buyer, who wishes to remain nameless, is committed to driving his car rather than simply garaging it however, so the last Reventón may well be seen throughout the country at Lamborghini, motorsport and social events.

The Dark Knight is the newest installment in the Batman series of movies, which started with Batman Begins in 2005. The main character, Bruce Wayne, and his alter-ego legendary crime fighter, Batman, is a wealthy businessman and his car of choice is none other than the limited edition Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, which is powered by a 640 horsepower 12-cylinder engine and is capable of more than 211 mph.

35% of All Lamborghini Reventons up for Sale
From WCF...does anyone have a few bucks to lend me?
There's a bit of a noise regarding the listing of 7 Lamborghini Reventons on the JamesList online luxury goods catalogue. The online community is baffled as to why 35% of Reventons are now being listed as being on sale so soon after the super car went to market. Only 20 units of the dramatic Italian bull were produced, making it a prime prospect for investment purchasing. Off-the-factory pricing was a cool €1 million.
The cars that are being shafted by owners come from all over the world. One is from Dubai, two are from the US and four come from Germany. They range from €1,250,000 (about US$1.59 million) to €1,580,000, (US$2 million) depending on factors like mileage. So you bought it for one million bucks and are now selling it for one and a half times that. That's a nice tidy profit for 18 months of waiting.
A 6.5-litre 12-cylinder powerplant drives all of the Reventon's wheels with its 650hp (478kW) and 660Nm of torque. Lamborghini says it will rush from 0 - 100km/h in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of over 340km/h.

Maybe they are baffled as to why they are selling it so quickly, as opposed to waiting a year or two. Or that they spent all that time waiting for 1 of 20, just to turn around and sell it. Regardless, that is not a bad profit.
I would only need a $1.5M down payment to keep my monthly payments around $700.

Gotta pay if you wanna play. That being said, the LP640 is a very nice exotic. However, I'd take the Reventon over it.

I can see the subtle cosmetic differences (which IMO were awesome) in the Gallardo and LP560, but I can't tell the difference between the others.
Performance?

There are some subtle differences made to provide better performance, yes.

Roadster Rumored To Debut Next Month
From Motor Authority: http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...but-next-month
Rumors are abounding that Lamborghini will unveil an open-top Roadster version of its ultra-exclusive Reventon supercar at next month’s Frankfurt Auto Show.
All across the Internet, Lamborghini fans are salivating at the thought of a Reventon Roadster, with speculation rife that only nine or ten of the supercars will be built, each featuring a V-12 engine and a pricetag of €1.15 million ($1,639,993)--before taxes, naturally. The company itself has made no statement on the matter, but professional athletes and Russian mobsters might want to bring their checkbooks to Germany next month.
If built, the Roadster should feature the same V-12 engine as the original Reventon though output may be increased from the current 650 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque--expect to see the same 670 horsepower rating as the more recent Murcielago LP670-4 SV.
Other goodies include a permanent ‘Viscous Traction’ all-wheel-drive system and Lamborghini’s e-gear semi-automatic transmission. The original Reventon accelerates from 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 211 mph, so a slightly more powerful Roadster may be able to surpass these times.
Whether Lamborghini unveils a new Reventon Roadster or not remains to be seen, but either way we should know in just a couple of weeks so stay tuned for an update.

Revealed...
From Motor Authority...
http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...dster-revealed
It's that time of year: another auto show approaches, preceded by leaks and broken embargoes. Most of the cars are expected and even a bit over-hyped by the time they see the stands, but it's unlikely anyone is going to be jaded to the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster this year.
Lamborghini officially took the veil off the car today, revealing a roadster every bit as insane and over-the-top as its coupe sister. Still as raw and jet-fighter-inspired as ever, the Reventon's design theme fits the Roadster version as well as or better than the original.
A special shade of matte grey, called Reventon Grey, is slightly different from that of the coupe, and exclusive to the new Roadster. Five-spoke rims create visual impact as well as a turbine effect to help cool the mighty brake rotors.
It'll be doing battle with a whole new range of competition from the original 2007 Reventon, but the 6.5-liter V-12 engine and 650-horsepower output should still stand it in good stead with all but the green types, though even they'll be glad to hear the car only gains 55 pounds over the standard Reventon, since the base chassis is so stiff only minimal extra bracing is needed to preserve performance with the roof off.
The Reventon Roadster's performance matches its Coupe counterpart, accelerating from 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds, but comes up 6 mph short on top speed at just 205 mph.
Fewer than twenty of the supercars are to be built, building even more value into the instrinsically collectible car. Price of entry? A cool $1.6 million (well, 1.1 million euros to be exact). But that's a small price to pay for greatness, right?
Features include a permanent ‘Viscous Traction’ all-wheel-drive system and Lamborghini’s e-gear semi-automatic transmission. The cockpit features the same aircraft-inspired, Alcantara-upholstered awesomeness you've drooled over for the past 2 years in the standard Reventon, with the Roadster featuring two transflective and one transmissive LCD displays. The touch of a button can change the instrument panel graphics from a pure digital display to a modern interpretation of an analog gauge pod.
Deliveries of the car will begin in October, 2009, so if you're not already on the waiting list, you're probably too late.

Absolutely gorgeous! What I've always loved about Lamborghini is the absolutely crazy way they've always been designed. There are many cars on the road, but to me I believe they're the only brand that truly represents exception on wheels.
