From Motor Authority: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...-one1-supercar
Supercar builder Koenigsegg isn’t known for subtlety in either design or performance, so when word spreads that the Swedish automaker is building its most extreme caryet, we tend to listen closely.
Dubbed the One:1 in reference to the car’s power-to-weight ratio (one horsepower for every kilogram, or 2.2 pounds of weight), Cars UK says that only five examples of Koenigsegg’s latest masterpiece will be built. Targeted at customers in China, it’s unclear if the One:1 will even be offered in other markets. At least American buyers can finally take delivery of an Agera R.
Similar in size to Koenigsegg’s Agera R, the One:1 is expected to be lighter than the production model, and Cars UK speculates that output will range between 1250 and 1350 horsepower. That could very well make the One:1 faster than a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, which can sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in a mere 2.5 seconds.
Expect the Koenigsegg One:1 to be priced in Bugatti Veyron territory, too. Though the car has yet to be finalized, Christian von Koenigsegg is targeting a selling price of roughly $2 million. That makes it on par with the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport, but significantly less than the Grand Sport Vitesse, likely its main performance rival.
When you look at it that way, the $2 million Koenigsegg One:1 is a solid bargain, especially in light of its limited production numbers.

For the super elite, $2M for a car is chump change.

1400HP Confirmed by Koenigsegg
From here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...-one1-supercar
News of Koenigsegg’s most potent supercar to date, the enigmatic One:1, has been circulating for almost a year and renderings of the car have already hit the Web. Until today, however, Koenigsegg has never released any information on it.
In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Koenigsegg founder Christian von Koenigsegg confirmed that the One:1 will output 1,400 horsepower and have a curb weight of 1,400 kilograms (3,086 pounds). As you may have guessed, the car’s name is a reference to the fact that it achieves a staggering one-to-one ratio of power and weight.
Koenigsegg boasts that the One:1 will be the first production car to achieve the one-to-one power-to-weight ratio. He explains that other automakers have claimed the feat when talking dry weight but his supercar will achieve the ratio with all the necessary fluids and even the driver onboard.
Though based on Koenigsegg’s existing Agera line of supercars, the One:1 will feature numerous unique components. The Ageras all feature a carbon fiber monocoque structure and twin-turbocharged V-8 powerplants. Drive goes to the rear wheels only, via a custom seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Initial performance estimates for the One:1 include an insane 20 second run from 0 to 400 kmh (248.55 mph). Top speed, according to simulations, could be as high as 450 kmh (279.62 mph), which would make the One:1 the fastest production car in the world.
Koenigsegg plans to complete the first prototype for the One:1 by the end of the year. Only six examples will be built for public sale and all of these are already accounted for. Though meaningless at this point, the One:1 will be priced significantly higher than any existing Koenigsegg, with some estimates claiming a pricetag in excess of $2 million.

Set for Debut...
Oh momma...Here we go...
From here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...tor-show-debut
From here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...tor-show-debut
A new supercar that could prove the world’s fastest is set to debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in early March. That supercar is the highly anticipated Koenigsegg One:1, named so because of its incredible one horsepower per kilogram of weight power to weight ratio.
As previously reported, the One:1 will develop 1,400 horsepower and tip the scales at just 1,400 kilograms (3,086 pounds). Remarkably, the 1,400-kilogram figure includes the weight of all necessary fluids plus that of an average sized driver.
Speaking with GT Spirit, Koenigsegg founder Christian von Koenigsegg revealed that only six examples of the car will be built, and all of them have been pre-sold. Sorry to any multimillionaires reading this.
Performance, as you would expect given the insane power to weight ratio will be nothing short of amazing. GT Spirit claims Koenigsegg is confident the car will set new acceleration records for the 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph), 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) and even 0-400 km/h (0-248 mph) sprints. The latter could be as quick as 20 seconds.
But the claims don’t end there. Given enough track length and suitable tires, the One:1 is said to even be capable of accelerating past 450 km/h (279 mph), based on simulated data. This would give the car the production car land speed record, which currently stands at 267.8 mph, as set in 2010 by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
Though loosely based on Koenigsegg’s existing Agera line of supercars, the One:1 will feature numerous unique components. Some of these will be a new front-end, carbon fiber wheels, and a fixed roof with a carbon air scoop. The rear section will also be all-new and feature a carbon fin joining the roof with the rear wing.
Press days for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show commence March 6--we can’t wait.
