Koenigsegg has recently announced the official price list for the Agera in the United States, where the cheapest version now comes in at 1,330,000 USD.
According to the car manufacturer, the Koenigsegg Agera is now available for order in the United States, where the model now costs 1,330,000 USD, while the Agera S will set you back for 1,460,000 USD. If the top of the line Agera R is what you’re looking for, you should know that this costs 1,520,000 USD. The options list is very short and it includes the 12,000 USD matte paint, the 23,000 USD F1-style double aero wing, the 42,500 USD Aircore carbon fiber wheels, the 94,300 USD full visible carbon bodywork on the S and on the R and that’s about all.
The Koenigsegg Agera is taking its power from a 5.0 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 940 HP (701 kW), at 6,900 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 1,100 Nm (810 lb-ft), available at 4,000 rpm. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 3.0 seconds, the 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) acceleration is over in 8.0 seconds and top speed stands at more than 410 km/h. The Agera S has 1,016 HP and the Agera R is coming with 1,124 HP.

After reading those press releases, I have a new found love for Koenigsegg. I already liked their cars but...wow.
Hollow CF wheels, nano coating in the engine, lightest engine and trans in it's class, removable and stoable roof. Just amazing.

They are right up there with Pagani, McLaren, and Ferrari...And truly at that pricepoint, you can't go wrong with any of them.

David Heinemeier Hansson, the Dutch programmer responsible for Ruby on Rails and part-time racing driver, has always had an incredible taste in cars. This is no more evident than the custom Monterey Blue and carbon fiber Pagani Zonda HH he owns based on the standard Zonda F. Now, Heinemeier Hansson’s latest custom hypercar has arrived in the U.S. in the form of a custom Koenigsegg Agera S dubbed the Agera HH.
To christen the Koenigsegg Agera HH to its new home in the U.S., the man himself recently took out the incredible hypercar on Mulholland Drive and Chris The Car Guy on Instagram managed to capture the following shots of it!
As a reminder, the Koenigsegg Agera S features a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 1,040 hp. As a result, it can sprint to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds and onto a top speed in excess of 400 km/h!

Automotive recalls are often deadly serious matters of safety, but sometimes one comes around that makes you scratch your head and wonder, 'Why even bother?' That was the exactly the case with a newly reported campaign from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that bordered on the absurdly humorous. It concerned a single Koenigsegg Agera built in December 2012 as a 2013 model for the US.
According to NHTSA, the tire pressure monitoring system in this Koenigsegg wasn't up to US standards because it might not have illuminated the warning light when the vehicle was restarted. To fix things, the company had to find this single owner and have updated TPMS software installed on the supercar. The driver never reported this alleged problem ever actually occurring, and according to Koenigsegg's noncompliance notice, this was the only vehicle it had delivered in the US since 2011.
Clearly NHTSA was taking its duty to police vehicle safety very seriously with this recall.

RS Version Confirmed
From here: Koenigsegg Confirms New Agera RS For 2015 Geneva Motor Show
Koenigsegg is bringing a new, presumably more potent version of its Agera supercar to next month’s 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The new version will be called the Agera RS and right now all we have is the design of the car’s badge.
We’re expecting the new Agera RS to be a more extreme version of the Agera R benefiting from technologies developed for the One:1, which is still the world’s most powerful car thanks to its incredible 1,341-horsepower rating. While it's likely the new Agera RS will have more than the 1,140 hp of the Agera R, we're not expecting it to eclipse the output of the One:1 just yet.
Recently, an Agera R sporting some modifications lifted from the One:1, like the latter’s more aerodynamically-shaped side mirrors, was spotted testing at the Nürburgring. Engineers were pushing the car so hard that they eventually crashed.
Why were they pushing it so hard? Because the Swedish supercar manufacturer is aiming to set a new production car lap record for the ‘Ring, a record that currently stands at 6:57, as set by the Porsche 918 Hybrid in 2013.

Info on the RS...
Source: Koenigsegg Agera RS Races Into Geneva With 1,160 Horsepower
Koenigsegg has brought a new, more potent version of its Agera supercar to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The new version is called the “Agera RS”, and it packs a 1,160-horsepower version of the Swedish marque’s familiar twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8. That figure, Koenigsegg tells us, was achieved using regular pump gas.
By comparison, the current Agera R only musters up 960 hp on pump gas and the Agera S manages 1,016 hp. Incredibly, Agera RS buyers looking for even more power need only fill their tank with E85 fuel. Of course, Koenigsegg’s One:1 and new Regera ‘megacars’ remain supreme with their respective 1,341 hp and 1,500 hp outputs.
In addition to a more potent engine, the Agera RS also benefits from a number of enhancements gleaned from the One:1. These include advanced lightweight sound insulation, new aero components aimed at boosting downforce, (front splitter, front winglets, side skirts, advanced dynamic underbody flap system and a dynamically active rear spoiler) and new vents behind the front wheels. Downforce is said to have been increased to as much as 990 pounds at 155 mph. The transmission, meanwhile, is a seven-speed dual-clutch unit.
On top of these standard upgrades, there is also a long list of options for Agera RS buyers that can further boost the car’s performance. These include a separate aero package, active suspension with pre-defined setups for some of the world’s top race tracks, active sound cancellation, a roof scoop and an active shock absorber system.
For the interior, Agera RS buyers can add anodizing for some of the surfaces, accent stitching, a backup camera, a luggage set and even a diamond-encrusted key fob. Like all of Koenigsegg’s models, the Agera RS also features a detachable and storable roof.
Just 25 examples of the Agera RS are destined for production, and already 10 of the build slots have been reserved. Together with the new Regera, Koenigsegg will for the first time be producing two distinct models simultaneously. While the Regera is aimed at buyers seeking a luxurious performance car, the Agera RS is positioned as the ultimate track tool. In fact, Koenigsegg is likely to use it in its quest to set a new production car lap record for the ‘Ring, a record that currently stands at 6:57, as set by the Porsche 918 Hybrid in 2013.

Related to the post in the Koenigsegg Sales, Marketing, and Financial News where US-Spec cars are starting to be produced...
Source: Work Starts On First U.S.-Spec Koenigsegg
Recently, we brought you news that the Agera RS supercar would be the first Koenigsegg fully homologated for sale in the United States, and that the first U.S.-spec example would bear chassis #128. Well, work on the Agera RS with chassis #128 has commenced and as promised Koenigsegg is fully documenting the build.
The complete build process takes approximately six months and the work is divided up among eight stations plus smaller satellite areas where more specialized functions are completed. Station 1 is where it all begins. This is where various carbon fiber parts, along with the fuel tank, are bonded together to form a monocoque chassis.
The monocoque is an autoclave-cured, pre-impregnated carbon fiber construction with an aluminum honeycomb core structure similar to that use in Formula One. All the individual parts are glued together with an epoxy adhesive, by hand, before being placed into a jig for final alignment and setting. The curing process alone takes a full week.
The result is a chassis which together with the fuel tank weighs just 198 pounds and has torsional rigidity of a torsional rigidity figure of 65,000 newton meters per degree. That compares with 60,000 nm per degree for the Bugatti Veyron and 40,000 for the Porsche 918 Spyder. It means the car is very resistant to twisting or flexing when pushed hard, such as during corning.
The Agera RS is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 delivering 1,160 horsepower on pump gas and Koenigsegg plans to build just 25 of them. Once complete, the company will focus on the Regera, which will be built in an 80-car run and presumably also be street-legal in the U.S.
