The interior is pretty basic. I wasn't impressed when I sat in it at the auto show.

"The Kia needs a ZF9. It's so much better than the trash the krautmobiles have. Hold on while I order a 340i."

"No, silly. You should just get an RLX with racing tires"

That would be the argument of the century

The kid is going stupid again, lol.

Mental illness or hard drugs related probably.

Not impressive at all indeed. Anyway, Kia Canada wants $995/mo for a base Sting GT 36mo, which spells sales f-a-i-l-u-r-e. The G70 is definitely nicer.

FYI - you are under no obligation to behave in an intolerable way every time you post here.

I really don't care what you think of my moderating. You are more than welcome to petition to have me removed; it is, after all, a voluntary position with no remuneration.

In the meantime, what I see is you continually resorting to puerile name-calling at every opportunity. I suspect, but can't promise, that every time I see you acting like a petulant child I will point it out. Partially, in a vain hope that you might actually change your behavior and partially because it's so very easy to do.

Is this real enough for you? Go read the rules: https://acurazine.com/forums/automot...d-them-974527/

This is an official warning for being confrontational.

Read the rules again to see what happens the next time you violate them.

FWIW, maybe if you stopped instigating, you may not have such a large target stuck to you...?

I mean, the ribbing you're getting and the flak is part in parcel to some of your more...unique...opinions -- which you're entitled to even if nearly all of us do not agree. That being said, as anything is with this community, as time passes, so will the grudges if you play along for awhile, right? We're all car fans at the end of the day and so, unless this is R&P -- where the gloves really are off -- just roll with it. It's just cars!

What I do know is that what I’ve missed doesn’t override what I’ve witnessed from you. I’ve also been clued in on your history too. The rules stipulate a month for second time offenders. How many bans are you up to now?

https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/2...wiring-safety/

The hot new 2018 Kia Stinger may not be setting sales charts alight, but the sporty five-door has been garnering widespread accolades from the motoring press and enthusiasts alike. Unfortunately, the Stinger is apparently at risk for catching fire in an entirely different way, prompting the Korean automaker to issue the model's first recall.

According to the automaker's NHTSA filing, the upscale sports hatchback's wiring harnesses in the engine and passenger compartments can make contact with burrs on the left front fender panel, potentially damaging the wiring insulation and triggering a fire.

According to documents related to the recall filing, Kia is aware of at least one fire attributed to the condition. No injuries have been reported.

16,011 examples are affected by the recall campaign.

Kia will begin notifying affected owners on Dec. 20, 2018. Models under the recall will have their wiring harnesses inspected. Damaged harnesses will be repaired and a new cover will be installed. If no damage is discovered, a cover will still be installed. All inspections and repairs will be carried out free of charge to owners.

They've sold 16000+ super expensive KIAs in the time Acura moved 2500 RLXs.

Acura better STFU when it comes to talking about the RLX. This first hand shows why the RLX ain't selling. It has little to do with the badge and more to do with the lack luster product.

Don't get me wrong- the SH tech is awesome. But it's only on a small fraction of RLXs, while the majority are FWD bore mobiles.

PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO SPEND THAT KIND OF MONEY ON SOMETHING TAME AND GENERIC, THAT'S SEEMINGLY OVERPRICED TO BEGIN WITH

It's not rocket science!!!

It will eat the Pagani Zonda for lunch, spit it out, and go after the Koenigsegg Regera next.

Why does the almighty RLX need ZF? It needs no transmission, the one in there is just for show only. Placebo if you will.

It will put Rocket Science to Shame. The new phrase is RLX Science.

Hey, remember when the Kia Stinger sold 16,000 units and the RLX hasn't hit that number yet since it's inception?

And I quote:

Overall sales of the Acura RLX are weak at less than 5,000 units in its first year sales in 2013 and then on a sharp downward trend every year thereafter with 2016 hitting just under 1,500 units in the United States and Canada combined. We don’t see it turning around. With sales dropping over 30% each year since its launch we say that Acura has to go back to the drawing board here
Doing the math... The RLX started selling in 2013 and still hadn't hit 16k units

You dingis. Do you think there are 16000 Pagani Zonda Rs out there?!??

It's an exotic. Like the RLX. It's exclusive. You need to be invited to buy one. By Gawd himself. Stop comparing apples vs. immortals.

You can't be exclusive if you sold too many..... They were going for the exclusivity.

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/20...-stinger-price

As it enters its second model year, the Kia Stinger is getting a slightly higher price across the board, but a few additional pieces of standard equipment help keep its value equation strong. The 2019 Stinger now starts $750 to $2000 higher than last year, depending on trim level, but nearly each model has added content to make up for those differences.

The base four-cylinder Stinger, priced at $33,895, now includes blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as standard, along with the nicer-looking 18-inch wheels from the Stinger Premium. There's a new Sun & Sound package offered for $3000 that adds a sunroof, LED headlights, a larger touchscreen, and a premium audio system. The base Stinger's V-6–powered equivalent, the 365-hp Stinger GT, now costs $40,095. It also adds those safety features as standard, and the rear-wheel-drive version now gets a standard limited-slip differential, previously a $200 option.

The Stinger Premium, which uses the same 255-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as the base car, rises to $40,095, a $2000 price increase. The Premium now comes standard with all of the active-safety features included in the previously optional $2000 Drive Wise package. Cooled front seats and a wireless phone charging pad are now standard, too. The V-6–powered GT1, for $45,100, adds all these features as standard, too.

For an all-in price of $50,985 for 2019, the fully loaded Stinger GT2 adds a 360-degree camera and heated rear seats. All trim levels still offer all-wheel drive as a $2200 option, meaning the most expensive version of a Stinger you can get from the factory is a GT2 AWD with extra-cost paint, which rings in at $53,680.

Kia had previously announced a limited-run special edition of the 2019 Stinger called the Atlantica, but Kia spokesman Neil Dunlop said that model has been "put on hold indefinitely."

Not a bad update. A Base 2.0Toy wouldn't be a bad DD with the Sun & Sound, for the LED headlights.
Adding the cooled seats to the 2.0 Premium is a nice touch too, along with making the $2k Tech pkg standard.
