Jeep: Concept News

https://www.netcarshow.com/jeep/2026...oneer_concept/

Few vehicles have influenced the modern SUV landscape like the Jeep® Cherokee XJ. Introduced in 1984 as the industry's first true compact SUV, the XJ redefined the formula that was efficient, maneuverable and unmistakably Jeep.

The Jeep XJ Pioneer concept celebrates that breakthrough moment while marking two milestones, 85 years of Jeep heritage and the return of the Cherokee nameplate for 2026. Built from a first-generation 1984 Cherokee donor vehicle, the XJ Pioneer concept honors Jeep as the segment's original trailblazer. It blends authentic history with a thoughtful, enthusiast-driven, resto-mod approach designed to resonate with the millions who lived with and loved the XJ throughout its 17-year production run. The result is a cultural time capsule infused with a bold, unmistakable '80s attitude inside and out.

Notable Exterior Modifications
  • 2-inch suspension lift enhances stance and trail capability
  • Quick disconnecting sway bar
  • Custom carbon fender flares with reshaped wheel openings for improved clearance
  • Custom 17-inch wheels paired with 33-inch BFG A/T tires, balancing classic proportions with modern capability
  • Integrated structural rock rails for added protection on the trail
Notable Interior Modifications
  • A series of fun, hidden (and not-so-hidden) details that nod to the era of cassette tapes, big hair and stone-washed denim, including a custom cooler and era-specific ergonomic seat enhancements
  • The interior stays remarkably true to the classic XJ, keeping its original character and simplicity intact

Overlanding is all about self-reliant, vehicle-based adventure where the journey matters as much as the destination. The 2026 Jeep® Wrangler ANVIL 715 concept reclaims that spirit with a purpose-built vision of what an overland-focused Wrangler can be: capable, intentional and thoughtfully engineered without unnecessary bulk.

Built from a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, ANVIL 715 extends the overland narrative first introduced with the Jeep Bug Out concept, evolving it into a more refined, boundary-pushing expression. A bold new design approach, unexpected functionality and simplified solutions challenge assumptions about Wrangler's limits.

Drawing inspiration from iconic Jeep vehicles of the 1960s while pushing forward into new territory, the ANVIL 715 concept blends heritage cues with forward-looking proportions, clever packaging and solutions created specifically for long-range exploration.

Notable Exterior Modifications
  • Custom non-removable roof with skylights and an integrated roof rack engineered for long-range overlanding
  • Restyled front nose inspired by SJ-series Jeep vehicles of the 1960s, giving ANVIL 715 a distinctive, heritage-grounded face
  • Integrated onboard air system with quick-disconnect fittings for rapid tire adjustments on the trail
  • Auxiliary forward- and rear-facing lighting for enhanced visibility in remote environments
  • Clean, cohesive exterior design that supports interior gear storage solutions without excess accessories or clutter
  • Heavy-duty steel front and rear bumpers for added protection in off-road conditions
  • Legendary 392 HEMI® V-8 power, delivering effortless capability on demand
Notable Interior Modifications
  • Interior optimized for comfort and overland utility, balancing passenger space with gear-ready functionality
  • Custom reupholstered front and rear seats designed for durability during extended travel
  • Trails Offroad mapping system on a dedicated IP-mounted screen
  • Custom roof-mounted storage rack for additional cargo
  • Bed-lined flooring for maximum durability, wash-out capability and ease of maintenance

I should start a company doing Singer type restomods on old off roaders, sounds like a winning combo since that XJ looks awesome.
