not feeling the recessed grille.
Besides that, looks very familiary but different. Headlights don't look all that bad as people made the spy pics out to be. Score another one for Infiniti's rim selection! (current score - Infiniti rim selection: 100, Acura rim selection: -1.25E+12)

Speaking of wheels, I am not sure if its design strategy or if acura cuts corners when it comes to wheel design cause Enkei (sp?) is the company that designs wheels for both Acura and Infiniti. Those 21" wheels on the FX50 are indeed gorgeous

I like the new refreshed FX actually now!
I'm glad that the headlights don't exactly have the same shape as the G35/G37 and EX35. The headlights have this pissed off look going for it.
Gosh Acura got embarassed by Infiniti now.

I like it all expect I am not too fond of the front. That new engine sounds awesome but the bad part is its going to drink gas. The interior is clealry the best part of this car.

^ interior is very very good, I'm amazed at how fast Infiniti improved, so glad they're moving away from the matte finish wood.
Not liking the exterior, I think the current one looks better on the outside.

The FX is HOT. I was worried, but the front looks like it'll eat anything on the road for lunch; especially the X6. What's interesting is what this predicts for the Infiniti's upcoming Q; this engine makes 390HP in the FX. In the last V8 FX (FX45), the V8 was detuned a bit (along with the M45's V8) to let the Q sit on the top of the heap. I have a feeling this engine is easily capable of 440-450HP, though the new Q will probably get 405-415HP of so the marketers can use the magic 400HP+ number in their advertising, and progressively up the HP as needed in the upcoming years. It would also easily make it more powerful than the LX460, S550, and 750IL, and we all know Infiniti prides itself in being the HP king. Also, this is the first time Infiniti's offered 21's on a production model; VERY COOL. I can't help but wonder if they'll be offered on the next "Q50." Also, the interior is a HOME RUN.

I believe the Q is still a ways off. Read an article recently that different markets had different expectations of the next Q and that they also had to come up with a solid business plan that'll turn a profit to present to Ghosn before he gives the OK.
I wonder what's next for Infiniti. Hopefully they introduce a G37 Convertible or something next.

This thing looks SINISTER! I'm really liking it. The grill inserts are a continuation of Infiniti's "wave theme." ... definitely feeling it.

This new FX is BEAUTIFUL!
The more I look at Infiniti the more I feel sad about Acura. Every single model that Infiniti comes up with now is stunning - first the EX and now the FX. They are simply gorgeous and they look every single inch like a luxury car. On the other hand, Acura still looks like a wannabe luxury car and now it comes with a mighty ugly grille too.... isn't that just so sad?

Wonder what the 7-speed does for fuel efficiency? This was always a weak-point in the Infiniti lineup...not that it was that big a deal considering people still bought Infinities.

naw, I'm happy with mine... I bought mine used and didn't pay $50k for it so I can't complain... now, IF I had bought a new FX45 just a year ago... yeah... I would NOT be a happy camper right about now. I get a lot of compliments and looks... I don't doubt that will end anytime soon...
the funny thing is... over at the FX forum... someone started a poll... and majority of them aren't too keen on the new style I like it... A LOT!

on to the next one...

Yup, I thought this was hot even in the spy pics...
However, I think the side vents are starting to get a little played out, but at least they're functional.

it's definitely grown on me. i'm not too big on the headlights, but it's outweighed by the rest of the car. and the headlights help make the car look so mean.

Dunno if the front resembles a Hyundai or Buick. Can you imagine if someone say "Hey, look at that Hyundai, looks nice"

Infiniti's producing some exciting cars. Can't deny that. I'm not a fan of SUV, but I'd certainly get the FX50.
