What Would Don Draper Do?
looks good. the real pics make the car look a little smaller though. but i think this will definitely sell.
i always thought infinity made some of the best headlights and worst tail lights. now they've really improved on the tail lights too.
but i'm also more curious to see what the fx will look like.

haha headrests probably wont make production but judging from the pictures it looks about the exact same size as an FX on the inside just a smaller cargo area

I was looking at the newspaper ad today and an Infiniti dealer in the Chicagoland area has 2007 FX35 AWD's for sale at $34,950, probably the barebones one, but I don't know how Infiniti will keep the prices of the EX and FX from overlapping one another.

anyway, as for the $35k FX35 goes... it's not uncommon for dealerships to mark cars down this time of the year... 08's are coming as early as late summer/early fall... they need to unload their inventory... and when I say "they" I don't necessarily mean just the dealership... but Infiniti. Gotta make room for the 08's

i am in love
:currentFXowner:
a tiny bit smaller fx, but not as small as the x3, it is exactly what I want, plus the hp to go with it, now i just have to wait till it drops and ride out the first 6 months of ghey pricing
i just hope we get some rim options, not a big fan of the swirly thing going on, but as long as they do 18-20" again, im sold, the fx is almost 3 years old, ripe for a trade in

...just saw it last night at the NYIAS. Very nice but too small to be a viable successor to my Murano.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply Lee.
Also, here is a few other interior pics I came across.

I always thought the shiny trim was wood...but in this pic, it looks like...shiny plastic?

Drifting
Acura has always had at least ONE major advantage over Infiniti - a much more stylish interior - well, that is until NOW! This EX Concept's interior is super HOT!!! It's amazing how Infiniti is determined to take over this segment.... now that Acura no longer has the monopoly to an amazing interior, they really need to step up big time ASAP.....

i know that over in Japan, the Fuga (m35) is available with black trim along with the aluminum and wood.
it's probably really nice plastic, because it would be stupid to paint anything else (wood or aluminum) black...that would defeat the purpose of having wood or aluminum.
since it did not make it to the u.s. in the m35/45, it may not make it over in the ex either.

I really hope the illuminated lights on the headrests make it to production, because that would be so innovative. I've never seen that on an car or suv for that matter

Ahhh...I actually like the piano black trim. It probably looks a lot better in person than in these pics.

Today I had the RDX as a loaner because my TSX was in for the condensation headlights recall. The RDX is pretty fast, faster than my folks 04 MDX. Maybe because of the turbo. Anyways, if I thought the RDX was fast, what more for the performance of this EX35? I'm excited.
Only thing is the RDX styling wasn't that hot, the front reminds me of the 1st gen MDX, but the RDX interior was hot. The EX35 interior from the pics has the RDX's interior beat.
The only Infiniti I've driven has been my folks 04 G35x, which I thought was fast. I thought the RDX was about as fast as the 04 G35x. Which makes me wonder I hope there won't be a letdown in performance for this EX35.
Would anyone put the RDX performance anywhere near an FX35? I know the RDX is only an I4, but it has that turbo, while the FX35 has that 3.5 VQ V6, but is only normally aspirated. Maybe Infiniti will have a car in the future that maybe could have a turbo too?

the FX35 AWD is about 350lbs heavier... I'm thinking, judging by that alone, the RDX would be faster

I don't know about the RDX, but with the FX35's... there are tons of aftermarket stuff catering to it, a FX35 can be moded to be as fast or faster than a FX45... but it'll cost ya (sadly not much mods for the FX45)

from wiki:
for the rdx
www.edmunds.com 0-60 6.8 1/4 Mile 15.2
road and track 0-60 6.4 1/4 Mile 14.8
motortrend 0-60 7.3 1/4 Mile 15.6
The FX35 seems to come in right at 7-7.1 each time.
So it seems like the rdx is a bit faster, but might depend on the day/driver if that is possible for a mash and go.
if the ex sheds a few pounds and gets the next level engine, I would guess it will swing back just slightly in the infiniti's favor as far as 0-60
