Infiniti: Q60 News

Official web site: 2017 Infiniti Q60 Luxury Coupe | Infiniti USA
I was just wondering what happened to this feature. It makes perfect sense on a coupe.
I didn't like the Direct Adaptive Steering when I test drove a Q... whatever used to be the G sedan, but they say they've improved it now so who knows?
Every time you get in, you’ll appreciate the segment-exclusive flexible doorstop that will hold the door open in nearly any position. It prevents the door from springing back on you. Easy entry. Easy exit.

Looks like an Audi in the front. Also the side badging is ala-Audi as well. I don't like that side badging or (fake?) side scoop, but overall, I'm in trouble. I like this car, but trying to stay away from a car note. Anyway, here's a nice video.

Looks good
The front looks too much like last gen A5/S5, down to the LED DRL.
G37 + A5 = Q60
But i like the rear... S class coupe =)

Pricing for the Q50 with new powertrain is out. That should give you an idea how much the Q60 would cost.
Q50 2.0t RWD - $33950
Q50 2.0t AWD - $35950
Q50 3.0T RWD Red Sport (400HP) - $47950
Q50 3.0T AWD Red Sport (400hp) - $49950
300Hp version is not released yet but it is not hard to figure out the price now.
Not bad if you ask me considering how much BMW charges for theirs.

For me, it would depend on how well these actually perform. Most of the 3 series models are pretty much underrated. I'm eager to know if the 3.0T Red Sport is actually faster than the 340i.

I wonder if they'll go the same route as BMW and charge a couple g's more for the coupe

but from advertisement/marketing standpoint, you can once again say that 3/4 actually have a real competitor now, like the 03 G35C.

as far as exterior, minus the badges/wheels, it looks pretty much identical with the current Q50 right?
Nvm, Q60. How does it look in person compared to the pictures?

i am predicting they will be about the same.. not sure how good those 7AT is. But by having 1 more turbo than the 3/4, its gotta count for something right?

435 now.
N54 is stronger stock and still stronger modded.
The only downside about N54 overall in my experience is it is not as reliable as N55. not just as the engine but overall (water pump, fuel pump and other moving parts) and N55 other than some minor issues like the electrical Aux fan is too sensitive, high pitch electrical buzzing sound. Other than that, based on my last 2 cars, it is pretty reliable. At least for the first 3 years

I see. Yea my friend has a 2007 335i too and he seems to be changing pumps pretty often. He's looking into getting a S5 instead.
Anyway, back on topic. I also want to know if Infiniti made any changes to improve the handling, particularly the steering. Infiniti seems to be making frequent changes to the handling and steering, but it seems like it's still not very good from the different reports.....

Not sure. But i will make sure to drive it when it is released to see how it is compare to my G35 and G37.... Never bothered to drive the current Q50.
But i do have friends who have driven them already from training and etc.. and they work for local infiniti dealership told me that the 2.0T is ridiculously slow (nothing like the 328) but the 400hp one is ridiculously fast. No 300hp is available any time soon.
but the QX30 that is coming out supposedly with the same 2.0t has a much better drive than the Q50 2.0t..

yes you are correct about the QX and the Mercedes.
But the selling point of QX30 is its price. From what i was told you can get one for mid to high $200s to lease with min. drive off and it is well equipped even in standard trim.
So for somoene who wants a small SUV from a Luxury brand, you won't find much within that price range (Even base X1 is in the low 400s with min. drive off)

Yea, the Q50 2.0T has the same engine as the CLA 250. The CLA250 is already noticeably slower than the 328i. Add a few hundreds pounds to it, like the Q50, and it will be even slower...
I have a friend looking to replacing his mini countryman. He's interested in the NX200t, but perhaps the QX30 isn't a bad choice too. I sat in one in the autoshow and thought it's pretty nice inside.

I was just looking at the pictures of QX30... not only it is built on the same platform with the same engine as Mercedes. Even the interior is pretty much from Mercedes with Infiniti's twist. The Nav Screen, memory/auto seat, the gauge. Everything is screaming mercedes. AC Vents ... not very Infiniti like. Have you seen the Key fob?

Are the CLA guys doing anything to those engines yet. Maybe that's an option if anyone decides to go with a 2.0T.
With that engine they are shooting for people who just don't give a shit about going fast, and they think that 2L engine will give them best mileage on daily commutes. So basically women haha jk

For sure. I don't think it's that slow anyway...unless MB purposely detuned those engines for Infiniti and screw them up...lol....The CLA250 does 0-60mph in the 6 seconds range. Let's say the Q50 is heavier and takes 7 seconds, still more than enough for a base car I'd think.

Dont know how much the 300hp costs. But i would assume around 42k range.
But i think the 2.0t will come with a lot less standard features compared to the higher priced cars. Similar to 320 vs. 328 vs. 340.

Ya, and I'm not sure how reliable that 2.0T engine is from Mercedes. I know a guy that has the CLA450 and he blew up his stock engine..lol..granted, thats the high boost version....
Going back to the CLA250, have you heard it in person? To me, it sounds quite rough from (at least from the outside). I personally would prefer a proper V6 for response and sound quality. And it's safe to say Nissan is pretty good at making reliable and powerful V6's.

the sound of the current 2.0t is from the DI. BMW sounds the same. sounds like shit!

But as a luxury car, you have to get some of the basics to make you feel somewhat happy haha
and knowing infiniti, they do lump sum packages, so it might add up quickly.
the configurator is up for the 2.0t. Build one and see how much it really cost based on your needs.

I just built a 2.0t... seems very strange that the only thing you can get is sunroof. You can't even get navi if you wanted to...

I am using my Nexus 7 for most of music/video and my phone for navi if I really need it.

But nowadays, the Navi is not the same Navi anymore. You can get directions everywhere (near your gauge, navi screen and HUD)
I personally much prefer the navi screen and voice instruction than using a 5.5" phone. Screen is just too small for me to concentrate on the road.

I mainly like the screen for infotainment purposes. I admit I use my phone for navigation 99% of the time.
The turn directions and stuff in the gauge cluster is nice, though.
