But, given that you think it looks like one, I'm assuming this is what you think of BMW cars...IS THIS WHY YOU PASSED ON AN M3...?!???

considering how much GTR cost, this will be just as expensive if not more.

The sizzle in the Steak
Well Nissan is two for two in putting this engine in not very flattering looking car designs.
One of them just plain ugly, the other a non-flattering bulbous design.
Why can't Nissan figure out how to put this awesome mind blowing engine into a beautiful, sexy, lust after exterior designs?!?!?!?
Is it really that hard?!?!?

Would you rather have it in a Q50 or a TL?

The GT-R is expensive due to the neverending amount of R&D that goes into the chassis, weight savings bits, etc. for track domination. I don't think they're going for anything of the sort here on the Eau Rouge, perhaps more like a tweaked chassis with a rocket engine inside. Heck, it might not even be awd.

i doubt it will be anything less than $100k
But if it is in the 60k range. 550hp RWD sedan for 60k? but the average $60k buyers probably won't be able to afford the tires and gas.

^^ They are both equal in my eye. I want neither.
They are both unappealing to me in the same way.
You may see them differently, I do not.
Nissan's designs and Acura designs are pretty piss poor IMHO....and sometimes downright

I'll take a 335i.
Both Q50 and TL look like a boring commuter to me. And Q50 drives like a whale.
No shit.
Because a tweaked chassis with a rocket engine is easy to figure out, right? Shitload of tech on Q50 was cheap to R&D? Nissan has to be sea creature brain to put this in a RWD car. Come on man.

^^ I don't think there is ever an "in" thing to hate on a brand.
If they produce goofy looking cars, then yea, they deserve the venom and spew.
To hate for no reason is just stupid.
ie...Acura builds some goofy ...thus the venom and spew.
Infinity builds some goofy looking sea creature bulbous ....and thus the venom and spew.
Is the Q50...err G....errr whatever it is the ugliest duck out there? By no means......but she is far from being beautiful.

You just described the GTR.
I like the Q50 in design so im excited to see what comes of this car.
GTR motor has been out for awhile now, maybe it will start getting cheaper to build to be able to make the Q50 thingy into the 70k-80k range?
That be dope!

I still think if Infiniti is smart, they'll price it around the C63/M3/M4 price-range...and possibly a few bucks cheaper to make potential buyers in that segment think twice.

I think Infinity is going to price this one pretty high.

I've always felt that if the GT-R was implanted into a G37 body, I would love it. I guess this is close enough.
I actually really like the Q50's looks. Just on the fence about the Eau Rouge's looks, nevermind the name.
The Eau Rouge likely isn't engineered for sheer performance from the ground up to the same degree that the GT-R is. But I can't see it being any less than $60k to start, given the same VR38DETT + ATTESA-ETS powertrain. Consider that a GT-R was $69k to start when it was released. It has increased since then, but still.

If Infiniti installed the GTR powertain in the G37, it would get mocked for looking like a..well..a G37. (Note: BMW gets no such grief when it comes to the M3/M5; where only auto enthusiasts can distinguish them from their more pedestrian siblings.)

You keep this thing around 65k. Hell if I can get it on VPP for around that amount I'll stay in Infinity guy, driving a fast car with a funky name.

I don't know about great (wait till you get up close with one), but it's certainly not bad and certainly not bad enough to earn this much ire for the design.
That said, I would not touch the Q50 with a ten-foot pole, even with the GT-R's motor, unless they get rid of the stupid steer-by-wire setup. I absolutely hate that with a passion.

Seen plenty up close. Love the looks. Heard nothing but negative about the steering so argument there. My boss is in the market for a car in this class and refuses to even test drive an Q50 because of the steering. Infiniti has to fix this problem stat.

Looks much worse in person.

What I should have said was if the GT-R looked more like the G37, I'd be in love with it. Let's just imagine the G37 looked entirely different...

I don't care what some of you say about it being a sea creature or whale.
Next to BMW, this is the most exciting thing. A lot more exciting than 2.4L N/A FWD and 20 years old 3.5L V6.

Currently Post-Acura
So I just started working at a dealership and for my first day got to move a lot of the cars, including Q50s on highways. I think I actually preferred the Direct Adaptive Steering. I noticed some cars must have been pre-update for the inTouch system as it was a little laggy, but there were some that were perfectly responsive. Made my car seem so antiquated when I drove home

Still hate the name...but, Infiniti appears to be inching closer to bringing the Oh-Rooj to production: http://www.leftlanenews.com/infiniti...ces-claim.html

I've never liked the GT-R because of the way it looked, but this... I like this.
