I still believe the hybrid will be pushing 50k easy.

This car is far better looking on the outside than the new IS. You can really see the Essence styling cues in the design. Interior is pretty good too, though Lexus has really nailed the interior in the IS/GS IMO. I definitely like the look of the Q50 better than the G37 sedan and am very curious to see how the Q60 turns out....

MSRP of $43,700 for the hybrid before options? Not bad. Wait a year and they will be discounting these things like no tomorrow.

so fully loaded hybrid will be at $50k.
Q50 Sport should be around $43-46k with all options included (current G37S has 0 package)
Not bad! but no stick = fail!

About the 2014 Infiniti Q50
The 2014 Infiniti Q50 sports sedan brings distinctive design, engaging performance, world's first technologies and unmatched levels of connectivity and personalization to the roads of North America when it goes on sale in summer 2013. The all-new Q50 is designed for a new generation of young, premium customers seeking Infiniti's unique fusion of inspired performance and hospitality.
Taking many of its seductive styling cues from the Infiniti Essence concept, the Q50's tight, athletic appearance blends low, wide proportions with excellent interior roominess to a class marked by unexciting design.
Inside, the Q50 interior offers a driver-centric cockpit with an array of premium comfort and convenience features. The new Infiniti InTouch™ communications system includes large dual touch-screen displays and puts communication with the outside world within easy reach, with integration of hands-free phone, moving map navigation, entertainment and smartphone apps in a way that is safe and easy-to-use while driving.
Infiniti's sports sedan performance leadership continues with the new Q50, which is available with a choice of a refined 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 or Q50 Hybrid featuring Infiniti's Direct Response Hybrid™ System with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control. All models come equipped with a refined 7-speed automatic transmission with available solid magnesium paddle shifters. The Infiniti Drive Mode Selector with a range of personal settings is also standard on all models, part of the advanced customizable digital environment system that allows drivers to create unique settings for engine, transmission, handling and steering settings.
Two new world's first production performance technologies make their debuts in the Q50 – Infiniti Direct Adaptive Steering™ technology and Active Lane Control. The new steering system allows advanced control of the Q50's steering effort and responsiveness, transmitting the driver's intentions to the wheels faster than a mechanical system. Four different steering settings are offered, allowing customization by driver preference or road conditions. The Active Lane Control uses a camera-based lane marker detection system to further enhance on-center driving capability and improve vehicle straightability.
The 2014 Infiniti Q50 3.7-liter V6 and 3.5-liter Hybrid models will be available with a choice of rear-wheel drive or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, and in a range of well-equipped models, including versions with special sport appearance and performance features with sport brakes and sport suspension tuning.

Yah but we won't see those for another 2-3 years.

Lame! I hate that more manufacturers are dropping manuals in their sedans. More and more, manuals are only available at the extremes of the market - in the cheapest cars or in luxury models only and even the luxury makers are dropping them.
Sure a dual clutch is going to be quicker, but it still does not provide the same level of driver engagement and fun factor as a manual.

If memory serves me right, BMWs take rate on manuals is as high as 20% on the 3er.

At this point my ranking as far as styling with the Japanese brands is
Infiniti > Acura > Lexus
Lexus is taking those sharp lines way overboard. I don't know WTF they're doing with the IS and LF-LC. Infiniti has that wavy, curvy look down the way I like it. Acura is very vanilla but their recent crop of vehicles is getting better.

With the style on top Japanese brands, it's either spindle, angry fish or power plenum on styles.
That said, what's up with the multiple screens these days?

^^ I would tend to agree that for many (not all models) Japanese Lux brand models, they sure are "off the mark" in terms of styling.
Far from the beautiful designs coming from the German makes.

this is the best of the Infiniti sea creature designs. I still don't like them, though, but this is not bad. I like the Transformers-ish eyes in the headlights.

Infiniti Q50 Prototype
Came over to Boston from Tennessee. Was here for couple hours.
but Prototype one...
Yes I did start the car in there for a second and loved the exhaust sound.
Same engine same specs but awesome design and features...
All LEDs, even fogs and they are bright.
Parks are on, led strip kind of thing on top and that round leds around the lens
Bottom one is the signal, I was amazed how bright it was..like those new BMW ones
White door handle leds were ok
I've never liked G series because of the round edges they use on Infiniti.
(Why I love TL is the sharp edges)
I guess they finally thougt it wasn't sport enough so they added that sharp finish on the front bumper
Although rear is still round BUT unlike the old G37
Car sits straight on the road from the rear...edges doesn't go to inner..
Details on the doors are great..
Not sure if nav comes up on that middle screen. Couldn't bring it up
Next gen tech... just perfect
I think this is the $49K model.
If you look at the lower grille, left side is closed. I thought radar thing goes there but the guy said no, it goes inside the top grille.
Didn't know why is the lower grille is closed like that (left side on my pictures)
He said it's prototype, so....not final
Dad loved it too, he has 11' FX but he is thinking to trade it with a Cayenne
Mom's MDX is next but will trade that with the new MDX this Summer
If JX has a bigger trunk then MDX while all 3 row seats are up. He will get the JX
I stay with ma love TL
and just bought an MK4 GTI for brother today..
So sorry for the bad quality pictures... tried my best with HTC One S

Not only back, even sides.
Sides match with rear which still shows the old G37 DNA, but front is totally different.
I call bad design
Lexus? Exactly

oh and rear reminds me of KIA
oh and Avalon
oh and Lexus ES

Only one led but it was pretty bright
