... I disagree. The Q45 is a great car, but it's styling is a bit bland and the interior console needs to be refined. Unfortunately it doesn't stand out amongst the stars in that class. The current M45 sucks to me to, but one must understand that Infiniti rushed that car over from Japan (Cedric) to fill a void in the lineup while the next M45/35 was being developed (a stunner). The QX56 is nice. The interior is great; the exterior should have been tweeked to conform with the rest of the lineup, and it needs bigger rims. You're right about the G35 and FX.

Do you think the LS430 is better then the Q45 and the ES300 is better then the I35?

I think the Q45 exterior is much nicer than that of the LS430. I think the LS430's interior, however, is nicer. Same goes for the other two... I like the I35 exterior's much more that that of the ES330, and the ES330's interior trumps the I35's (though by a narrow margin IMO). The I35 is still an excellent car. Then only difference between now and two years ago is that the entire country knew that it shared everything with the previous gen Maxima, and now that the Maxima has been updated off of the Altima platform for an all-new car, every thinks the I35 is now outdated.

How was it 'rushed'? The car was already a great performer over there & they brought it here.
I have actually driven one...it is no slouch, the build quality is better than any American car & it's selling for way below MSRP at most dealers.

Maybe it's not your cup-O-tea, but that certainly doesn't mean it 'sucks' in any way.

Okay, let me clarify my position. That came out wrong. I've driven the M too, and it's definitely no slouch. It was and is a great performer, but it's not the right car for this market. I meant Inifiniti rushed it over as far as time was concerned, to fill their lineup. Not that they rushed the M's development... I know it was already in existence. The car doesn't sell well here (in the U.S.) and below MSRP for exactly my point. It's exterior is dated and completely out of line with Infiniti's design theme, and it's interior is lifted from the Q. When I sat in the car I couldn't believe the similarties between it and the Q, which made me mad because the Q is the flagship... period. With the same engine no less. Many look at the car as the last-gen Q for less money, which is what it is, but not what the people want. The next M will be true to it's mission, being sporty and refined, and fitting better inbetween the G and the Q. The fact that it also offer both the V6 and the V8 is also needed and welcomed.

That's funny. And I agree, there's not much in the Infiniti lineup that excites me. damn, now that I think about it, with the CL gone from acura's lineup, they don't have much either ('cept for the tl and nsx).

Looks awesome. Will say looks a lot like a G35 from that rear 3 quarter view. Lets not have everything look the same now infinity
Not sure how i feel on that interior. That nob is huge. Not bad though.

Something just caught my eye. I seriously doubt that it will come dropped from the factory like that, nor will it have those low profile tires on it....other than that this is going to kick some ass!

NEW YORK, April 6, 8:00 AM--Harnessing the corporate power of Infiniti's 32-valve 4.5-liter DOHC V8 used in the current M45, the Q45 luxoliner and the FX45 crossover, this M45 Concept makes do with 340 hp and a 5-speed manually shiftable automatic transmission. High-tech features include an active rear suspension designed to improve cornering performance by adjusting its geometry based on steering and vehicle-speed inputs.
Also debuting (in North America) is a new Lane Departure Warning system that can alert a drowsy driver before it's too late. The M45 Concept rides on a longish 114.2-in. wheelbase and 19-in. tires, so its looks long and lean on the outside. But inside is where this concept really shines.

Up to five occupants can be surrounded by a mix of leather and aluminum trim. A 14-speaker, 5.1-channel decoding surround sound audio system--with a "personal" speaker mounted in each front climate-controlled seat--is available to blow out the jams.

And there's no reason why this killer ap wouldn't make it into production, along with the pushbutton starting switch, voice-activated navigation system, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, intelligent cruise control and wide-angle rearview monitor. The Infiniti M45 Concept makes its world debut here on April 8. Infiniti calls this a contemporary instrument panel. We won't argue

Actually, I think those tires will make it to production. Mercedes has similar low profile tires on the E-Class (17in rims)... This car is goregous IMO, and a great rendiion of the the FUGA concept. It's gonna kick ass up and down the road. I like the subte common themes show to the exterior (in the rear shape and green house) to the G35, tieing these cars together. I don't know if I can say the same about the similar seat controls placed where they on (a la G35 also). All in all, it looks like it's gonna be best in its class. Hope it handles as good as it looks (I'm sure it will).

The interior is trying too hard to look attractive. And the buttons on the dash are too far for decent ergonomics. :o

Oh ya... the rear is

Very very nice.. Great interior, great exterior (minus the rear tail lights) and great engine / drivetrain choices....

Another win for Nissan/Infiniti

Oh, of course, posts like these are always overlooked. But if I say something like;

Infiniti is spelled wrong or Infiniti has been gay the last 13 years and is turning it around, I am a hater.

New Infiniti M45

Well, this beauty just came out - and it is HOT! Will come out Spring of next year and will be competing with the new RL somewhat. I frequent these forums and am a fan of Acura but I'm also a big fan of Infiniti so I thought I would post these up and get some good discussion going. Enjoy the pics and post some thoughts/reactions - btw, this car has been getting rave reviews everywhere on the internet.

I think they could have toned down the tailights a bit but they're trying to keep the Infiniti "look" throughout. But overall - this car just does it for me...

I don't profess to know anything about Nissans, but the exterior looks like the bastard child of a Maxima and G35 Sedan. Doesn't strike me as the premium luxury look.
