after looking at the official pics ... i like it alot more. The chrome spoiler on the trunk looks kinda cool.
It's back on the list for me.
I really wanna see it in real life.

I'll wait until seeing it in person also, but right now it doesn't move me as much as the current coupe. I still love the way the current model looks and think it's much sexier and aggresive. From the pictures out there the G37 just looks like the G35's fat brother. It has too many similarities to the Lexus SC. Don't get me wrong, I like the looks of the SC and the new G37 but was just expecting (or hoping for) something much more aggresive from Infiniti. I'll stick with my decision about going with the 335, even if it's a shit load more money.

I'm Down Right Fierce!
Hmm. I must be one of the very few people who actually thinks that the G37 coupe looks pretty good in stock form.
Guess it wouldn't matter. Knowing myself, I'd probably get rims and a kit anyway. (along with a bunch of performance mods)
Anyone know the suggested pricing of the G37? I have a feeling it's gonna be slightly higher than the current G35.
I hope its in the $35-38k range. Anymore, and I'll probably have to spend my $ elsewhere.

Dont get the bmw just yet.
My buddy just bought one, (Got the sedan) He has had it for 4 months he has had nothing but trouble. Blinker shorting out, windows not working sunroof grinding. Didnt cost him anything but it just a pain in the a$$ to keep taking back. after spending all that $$. Hes already got plans of getting rid of it.
My car was just totaled (Drunk driver hit me) and I was thinking of getting a year old M3, Driving in to work to day there was a beautiful blue M3 in perfect condition (except the hood looking a little black) being towed. I thought they fixed the engine blow up thing on the M3's. I don't know if they did. or this was one of the older ones, But It was like a sign saying dont get the M3. Good luck though if you get one. Its a good looking car.

take it back to the dealer (should be free regardless of MY)
it is a recall. I believe it was called Rod Bearing recall. Your local bmw dealer should be VERY VERy familiar with it.
You will have to break in (1500 miles) after they fix it.

Sorry about all your buddy's problems, but I've been following a few BMW forums and don't see many serious unresolved issues arising. Of course, the 335 is really too new to know how reliable it will be long-term, but after driving it along with just about everything else on the market I had to go with the 335. I just love the way it drives and I've never really been a BMW fanboy. Hopefully all of your buddy's issues get resolved and the 335 doesn't carry too many gremlins, but, unfortunately, I can't wait around and find out...I want to get rid of my CL-S ASAP.
I must admit I also liked the way the new G35 sedan drove, but I just wasn't feeling the interior and couldn't see myself in a four door...unless it's something like an S class, 7 series, or A8. I just couldn't get comfortable in it after spending about half an hour in and out of the driver's seat. I sure would've liked to save all that money over the 335, but in the end I wouldn't have been happy with the car.
When my 335 coupe came in with the wrong trim I thought about waiting for the G37, but just went for the 335 convertible that I really wanted. The original wait for the coupe and my my decision to skip on the deal after it came in with the wrong trim made me realize that I should just get what I really want so that I'll be happy with my car for a couple years at least since I'm waiting so long for it and am spending so much on it.

^ Some similarities and there are definite design cues that were 'borrowed' ... but not a copy. Not sure if that's a really fair comparo based upon the pics ... need to see it in person to have a better impression of it.
Pics right now ... not really feelin' it. Plus all the hype from the G-concept from the 2006 Detroit Autoshow really hurt my impression of the production model.
