^True dat. You should check out the Genesis, which looks freaking hott, btw.
When I was in San Diego early last year, Enterprise gave me an '06 Sonata, which at the time was still pretty new. Had to admit, the exterior styling was actually really nice but the interior was something else - like a complete afterthought. The dashboard/console part was hideous. But this is really nice.

That interior plus this kit with it lowered like this. I would easily drive a hyundai like that.

Has anyone seen the commercials for the new Sonata? It looks really damn nice in the commercial. When I first saw it (the ad) I was like, "What car is that?"
Looks like a really competitive offering in its class.

2011 Sonata Speculation
This time last year when I heard that there was going to be a new, redisigned Sonata for the 2011 MY, I got excited.
So excited that I started cranking out renderings of what I thought the Sonata should look like. Then when I heard that it was going to take the theme of a "four-door-coupe" I got even more excited. Well, I have here what looks to be another rendering of the 2011 Hyundai Sonata.
I found this rendering on YFlove.net, and also found an interior shot of the center stack. These few pictures are really making me smile.
What do you make of the rendering? Do you think that it will have this general design?

Besides this rendering, www.yflove.net has real life spy shots of the Sonata that I'm posting. It seems that the spy shots hold true to it... to me, it looks like an updated last gen ES with MB CL550ized styling...

Do the mods a favor and search before you post......to think we wouldn't have a Sonata thread is just nuts.

The styling on this car is definitely, related to the new Genesis, so it stays true to Hyundai's new styling theme, and the proportions and overhangs screams FWD; those two factors, along with the size of the car and the fact that the new Sonata is scheduled drop in just a few years leads me to believe these spy shots probably are next Sonata.

I rented an 09 Sonata and was very pleasantly surprised - I swapped an 09 Accord LX for it which convinced me that I won't be getting the current gen one. If they can get their mileage and MT tranies to Honda levels I might even consider it. The looks are certainly getting there.

HAHAHAHAHHA, the sketches/rendering/whatever are freakingly ugly. The front end looks exactly like stretched and pulled 02 Camry fascia, and the character line seems to resolve toward an 06 ES350 side profile. Let's wait and see.

Anyone see the review in the latest Road & Track of the Genesis 4.6 sedan?
Hyundai came to play. They really liked it.
If Hyundai can do something similar with the Sonata in that price range, they could be poised to take a huge leap next year.
