The Korean models have too many clothes on compared to the Japanese car show models.
Yeah, Sante Fe. It's a cute-ute SUV. Not my kind of car. More like a chick car (at least in the US, this may not be the case in Korea).

^ I actually like the wood, but I hate the metal running through it. They could've glossed it up a bit to make it look more like real wood, though.
this is a big improvement over the current one and i see the current one everywhere

there aren't many masculine looking suv's out there in this price range. i'm sure similarly equipped competitors cost at least 3-5 grand more than hyundai. and i hated current santa fe, but this looks very good to me.
anyway, what can you buy under 25K? only thing i can think of is xterra, which easily goes up to 29-30K.

xterra is awesome. if i was shopping for an suv, it would be one of my top choice for anything 28-30k.
but i would take this over rav4, highlander, and etc.

LOS ANGELES -- Hyundai Motor America has cut $700 from the sticker price of the base model Santa Fe SUV for the 2007 model year.
The redesigned Santa Fe carries a base price of $21,595, including shipping, the company said Thursday. The price drop comes even as the automaker increases the shipping charge from $600 for the 2006 model to $650 for the 2007 model.
The 2007 will reach dealerships this month, the automaker said.
Buyers can choose from three trim levels -- GLS, SE and Limited. Standard equipment includes stability control, side-impact and side curtain airbags, antilock brakes and a tire-pressure monitoring system.
Changes include the addition of a third row of seats that folds into the floor. The new Santa Fe is 7 inches longer than the 2006 model.
The base engine is a 2.7-liter V-6 rated at 185 hp. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, while a four-speed automatic is optional.
The 2007 Santa Fe SE has a base sticker price of $24,295, including shipping charges. The SE trim is equipped with a 3.3-liter V-6 producing 242 hp with a five-speed automatic transmission.
The Santa Fe Limited has a base sticker price of $26,595 with shipping charges and adds equipment such as leather seats, heated front seats and automatic temperature control.
Through the first five months of this year, the Santa Fe's U.S. sales totaled 18,033 units, down 40.9 percent from the same period in 2005.

On a related note, I had a Sonta rental last weekend. The interior was pretty good, materials were good (didn't care for the color though, gray...bleh). It didn't have a very good ride though, didn't handle imperfections well at all. That said, I'll probably test drive the new Sante Fe...

It think it'll look really nice in person, and Hyundai continues to offer alot of bang for the buck. I'd take the new Outlook over the Sana Fe', but I'd have no problems driving either one.

They liked the Santa Fe, but it lost out to the other two in the performance arena. Heaviest of the bunch (barely heavier than the CX-7, though), slowest to 60, longest brake distance.

and they call santa fe 'small'? santa fe is much bigger than rav4 for sure. i've sat on it and it has much more room than rav4.
i think santa is fast enough and looks so much better than the rav4.

anyway that review got to be the worst review i've ever read in a long time.
since when did the atheleticism or being 'sporty' matter for small utes? kudo's cx-7 for its atheleticism, but when i'm in the market for small-midsized suv, i could careless about how fast it would go 0-60. i want the size, warranty, looks, interior, safety, and etc. sportiness is just a gravy. mazda6 is very sporty, but IMO it's not better than accord or camry.
there is no way those two can hang with the santa fe in overall package. price, interior(most luxurious), size, safety, practicality, more than good enough engine, looks, and etc all favors the santa fe. mpg is excellent, and can't beat the hyundai warranty.
also it's so much cheaper than cx-7 in reality because it's hyundai.
