I never knew that Koreans were into volk wheels... This is new to me, so suprised.

Genesis coupe w/ 19" Volk TE-37 ftw. That car is fucking sexy!!!

I hope the aero pieces on that Nurburgring Gray one with gold Volks will be available in the U.S. I like the HKS design introduced at SEMA, but this is much more subtle and elegant while looking passively aggressive.

Where do I sign and when can I sign!?!?!?!?!
Those aren't gold... Bronze.

I agree with you although I'd like to drive one and see how it feels for myself!!!

I'm taking my G Coupe in for it's warranty checkup soon. What are the chances the dealer would have a G37 loaner???

Most def bro!! If the 30,000 mile service wasn't so costly I would have taken her in in a heartbeat. Since I'm going to get that done elsewhere when I save up, I figure what the heck, I might as well take her in for a warranty checkup for TSBs etc.

That way if they catch something now, she can get a free repair and I can check out a new loaner while I'm at it!!!

If I did get a G37 coupe you'd be the first to know about it. You know what, I'm going to make sure I test drive it when I go. I can't wait

thank you, sir. I really appreciate it...

My original plan was to get a 05 g35, but it was way over my cost and ended up getting tsx. I'm still looking around to find used 05 for decent price, if I do, I'm definitely going to pull the trigger.

I will be looking forward to see your review on g37.

DO it!! You'll be happy you did. I waited until this year to get my 05. It took me roughly 6 months to hunt down the perfect deal/car/color etc for me.

In this part of the country, IP coupes are the minority. 6MT forget about it. I went up to Sussex, WI. (Milwaukee) to get my coupe 6 months ago.

It was worth every dime and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Funny thing is, the week before I got the car, I almost flew out to New York to pick one up. I was prepared to drive it cross the country then the perfect G35 popped up much closer to home. The rest is history.

I can't wait to see this Genesis hit the road too. It looks like it's going to be a big hit

Are you sure about that? This one looks like something I'd drive
Only after Fido had her crash course in piloting an automobile.

But for real, you got me. I'd drive that G37 in second. Although in stock form the G37 doesn't do it for me. The GenCoupe w/19" wheel option, on the other hand is good to go. I do think the G35 had a more masculine look though. The new 370Z is tight, but not a 2+2.

Damn! Those Koreans sure do know how to make an already great looking car just down right stunning. Some exceptionally nice modded cars over there.
This GenCoupe is looking pretty promising.
What's the ETA for American dealers. I saw March somewhere???

How is the Genesis selling? Hyundai's marketing VP spills the beans

It's no secret that Hyundai's big push upmarket has come at a difficult time. With monthly sales plummeting and available loan capital shrinking, the Genesis sedan has seemingly picked an inopportune moment to roll onto America's bloodied dealership forecourts. In spite of this, the Korean automaker expects for sales to surge by 4 percent in 2009. Part of that increase will be on the back of inexpensive models like the new Elantra Touring, but the Genesis sedan will also have to carry some water for the automaker.

All of which has us wondering... how are sales of the Big Hyun going so far? Well, according to a new article by MediaPost, pretty darn well. The marketing publication interviewed the company's U.S. vice president of marketing, Joel Ewanick, and while he acknowledges the tough sales environment, he builds a pretty compelling case.

Among them: Over the past 90 days, the Genesis has sold "at or near objectives" and the company considers its performance to be "a very healthy launch." The sedan went on sale in July, and dealers have shifted 5,127 units thus far, including 1,151 last month. Ewanick notes that fully 90 percent of all Genesis buyers are originating outside of the brand, including 40 percent that "have traded in vehicles like Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche." In addition, the Hyundai veep believes that the Genesis has helped contribute to brand-building, citing awareness and consideration figures that have jumped 25 percent in 2008 alone.

Judging by Ewanick's remarks, while the Genesis sedan may not be blowing out initial sales projections, it is performing solidly. Perhaps a down economy is exactly the right sandbox for the value-conscious Genesis to play in after all.

I had to kill some time today, so I stopped in at a Hyundai dealer that was in the area and they had a Genesis on the floor. I've never seen one in person, so I thought I'd have a seat. I pulled the handle and the door was locked!

The showroom was empty, but a few seconds later, a sales guy walked up to me and asked if I was trying to get in the car. I said "yes, but it seems to be locked." He then asked if I was interested in buying one, and I said "I'm really more curious than anything, I've heard these things are pretty nice inside." His exact words to me were "Well, we keep these doors locked to keep the car nice for people who really want to buy one." Then he walked away.

You'd think they started selling Ferraris there... It's still a fucking Hyundai!!!

By the way, the rest of the lineup is essentially free right now with all the rebates and dealer incentives. I think the minivan was $14,000 off sticker.

Wow what a tool. He was acting as if you were some 16 year old wasting time. The showroom is empty who gives a damn unlock the thing and let you see it.
