I wouldn't put much trust in a Hyundai simply because my Samsung cell proved to be reliable. For one thing, Samsung is first and forecost an electronics company - cellphones being under their umbrella. Hyundai, they're first make oil tankers.
This is off the topic but yeah!!~ They do offer very nice phone. I believe, they are the #2 most sold cell-phone in the world. I heard that samsung is so big now that if they have to compare to u.s. It's the most hottest job in the Korea. It is so far geater than getting a job from Microsoft. If you work at samsung!!!~ they look up to you and they get sooooooo much benefit.

i am korean, but im also not being biased. i used to drive a daewoo too and that proved to be a nice car too, til GM bought it off. i also have driven the elantra gt, sonata, and the XG350 (family members' cars). from the oldest car being the 94 or 95 sonata to the latast one, 2004 XG, i would have to say that hyundai has come a long way and definitly upped their game. and yes i do know that the XG is mcuh more upscale compared to the sonata, but just generally speaking, there has definitly been improvements.

imean check out the new sonata. bigger, faster, and has a long list of standard options all included compared to its competitors in its class.. (with the exception of the 3.5SE(R) Altima for faster). i think its an awesome bargain of a car!

right now their line up seems to be dramatically improving as these years go by. definitly the most improved car company in the last 10 years.

i still dont think i would want one over any of the acuras though. haha i love the acura line up too much to get a hyundai
Good to see another korean in this fourm. Yes, I agree with him!!~ even though, I never drove one of them.

I've seen it

Stereotypes can be funny if you don't generalize too much. I've heard story of Vietnamese people eating dogs as well so it's not an ethnic-based phenomenon. I'll say that most culture indulge in a few "weird" food choice here and there, and I won't have any problem making fun of it.

Sorry for being off-topic.

A 3.8L V6 isn't low at all. Consider the six cylinder S-Class models that are found in other markets. In the U.S., these lux flagships are started at the V8 level, and that's probably where this car would start also. Reread the article; also under development is a 4.5L V8... that's definitely not low. The 3.8L will probably be for put in other markets around the globe. After seeing what they've done with the Sonata, and seeing the looks of the Azera, I think Hyundai will come correct if they do introduce a full fledged lux sedan.

The only reaseon Honda is not the number one selling car is because people like you cant afford them and instead of buying out of the consumers price range they buy a cheeper one. Hyundai - aka - CRAP. I know much more about these cars then you do if you can say that they are a good investment. So Mr. 2cool, in about 101k I will beep at you in my Acura while you are walking to the mall.

That might be the most arrogant and idiotic thing I've read on this board in quite a while.

Sorry charliemike but if you cant take the truth that’s whole other issue! It wasn’t 5 years ago when these cars were selling for 8000 brand new. This price was because they weren’t worth the plastic they were put together with. I understand you and all these naive consumers are looking for a good deal, and so am I. However, a vehicle is an investment and buying a Hyundai is a no money maker/deal breaker! So sorry Hyundai owners but it seems you all will have to learn the hard way.

Can’t say I never told you!

Wow. You sir, are retarded. You do realize you're on an Acura board right? The fact that you drive an Acura doesn't make ou special.

BTW, I'll be walking by waving @ you while you're walking on the sidewalk while we both wait for our auto tragic transmissions to be fixed under warranty by Honda/Acura care.

this guy thinks hes made a fat investment because he bought a car under book value (like all of us did) and hes gonna sell it for more. so you basicly bought a car to sell it? what a waste of time and money. i bet you that NO ONE in their right mind will buy the car for more than you what bought it for. no matter what the book value says.

seriously, who buys a car for exact book value?? the book value is a guide to see what its worth, but no one actually even sells their cars for book value either, then the buyer will eventually haggle you down for far less.

man, dont try to sound all smart because you think you made money off your car.

and to get back on topic. Hyundais will eventually grow into a bigger better manufacturer, just like Honda has over the years. the wayy hyundai has improved so drastically, i wouldnt be surprised if they start outselling alotta these big name companies in the long run.

azera's interior is already bigger than the 7 series, so this should be slightly smaller than azera or about the same. price it 33k and with a v8 option. should be a very attractive package.

anyway, i think the front will look like the new santa fe.

also. they should make this genus concept. looks better than the R class IMO.

This car looks like the size of a GS, or M. This car may very well be the lead off for Hyundai's rumored luxury channel, and therefore wouldn't be badged a Hyundai at all. Still, they'd have to come out with more than one car, almost simutaneously (like Lexus did with the LS400, then ES250) to have a good start at success. If the pricing and specs are right, who knows... it could be a contender.

i have no doubt in my mind that it will be a serious contender. question is when but i think hyundai can do it by 2008.
