That's the kind of mickey mouse bullshit a local car dealer does.

375 HP @ 6500 rpm and 333 ft/lb torque@ 3500 rpm is no joke.... that is some serious power coming from Hyundai Genesis. The car's weight isn't that too heavy either, about 15~ 70 lbs lighter than the Acura RL. Also the drag co-efficient on the Genesis is measured at 0.27.
I've heard that the Hyundai is already planning on 5 liter variants of the 4.6 and direct injection and twin turbo applications that will make the Genesis over 500hp from the plant. The Genesis cars are being built in Ulsan, South Korea.
One of the guys at Edmunds said that Hyundai has already spent 5 years on the development of this and they know it has to meet or exceed expectations..that is why they keep changing and revising this thing. Also, Hyundai has the money to throw into this because its their 'halo' car that will catapault them to new heights of brand recognition and sales.
Here is a link to the German's review about this car. Very impressive.

You know, these days, I hear nothing but praise for Hyundai. Genesis Sedan: Looks great. Gensis Coupe: Looks Awesome, and G37 performance for the cost of an Eclipse?!?!
Can't say the same for Acura. TSX: Looks ok, but no HP increase? RL: Bleh....
Maybe Acurazine will have to create a Hyundaizine branch or atleast a sub forum in the future.

Yeah, this car is meant to compete with the RL, but with the base v6 it will be good competition for the TL, and with the v8, it'll go after the RL...
I can only see some of it, but it looks good in black...
And in case anyone is wondering, Manny Tranny got is start over on the TL forum:
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...0&page=1&pp=25
Sorry, since we can move threads from there to over here (yet), all I can do is provide a link.

Another Hyundai war.. I missed that one entirely..
One thing that always amazes me about Acurazine is the great difference in opinion when it comes to cars. I mean I'm not expecting a unanimous decision on a car, people are different and want different cars.
But it's just like a whole 'nother world in the TL racing forum. Felt like I stepped into some anti-korean forum run by xenophobes.
Also, TwinTurbo335 is an embarrassment to AZ.. just had to get that out
/rant
Can someone please translate the review?

I'm an acura owner, but whoever makes a car that fits my needs and my budget regards of the badge on the grille gets my sale...

I would like to make a statement that "stitched" leather wrapped dash and wood trimmed leather wrapped steering wheel are some dope.. which comes as a Standard in V8 version.
To get really some serious stuff out of this car overall, I would need a Technology package. Would be fabulous if I could possibly get it for $38~ 39k.
btw, TLyoung'un, I love your avatar. She is incredibly cute. Who is she?

Even people at Lexus forum are talking about the new Hyunda Genesis. The thread has over 33 pages and has way over 10,000 hits. The majority of the users who are viewing the thread at clublexus are showing great interest in Genesis. They are estimating this one could indeed be a big success for Hyundai.. The day when the Genesis cars hit the street the Hyundai dealers will be jam packed... Everyone will be there.. including Lexus owners. Amazing... Props Props Props..

Also, I heard that the prices may not have been decided by Hyundai yet. There is still potential that the price could drop. $37~ 38K on a V8 Technology Pack would be absolutely fantastic, to me that is.

isn't the azera pretty damn big too? I thought it had roughly same interior volume as the 7-series. I think it's slightly smaller exterior-wise because it's a FWD layout, which is more compact.

mmmmmm....
I can't believe I just read it up to page 17 over at lexusclub site.
So far, I think memebers over at LC giving hyunida some credit for what they are doing.

Hyundai just keeps looking better and better. Still, I can't say that I am particularly interested in the Genesis sedan. Now the Genesis coupe on the other hand......I can't wait to see more of that....
