Any changes to the front end that make it more aggressive looking were desperately needed.
The current gen front end is so "plain Jane" looking.

Looking much better...sans fake hood vents.

Everybody's entitled to their opinion, but I don't agree. I don't think it's that bad, to be honest.

Will be trading in. The front end of the 2010-2012 is remarkably unremarkable. This will liven things up a bit in the front.

Plus the extra 2 gears and horses will help with power and fuel efficiency. The only thing is that my sources tell me that the Brembos may be no longer. That would suck. I would have to upgrade the brakes to a BBK... agin.

Uh...Why did Hyundai adopt Mazda's ugly front design.

Don't matter tho, will trade in my G for the Rsp c soon..

The Genesis went from the sleekest looking sports coupe to a Mazda Speed 3/Rx8/Hyundai elantra looking car.

^You're right, that was an over exaggeration. I don't think anything can top Mazda's goofy grin except maybe the TL

Always preferred the 09-12 genesis design tho. Head lights are sharp, front end is wide and low, and the lines contoured to whole design of the car. just a little heated they changed the design thats all. Hyundai didnt have to redesign the whole front end...all that was needed was some minorrrrr cosmetic changes here and there. the design itself was already perfect :[

Fog lights are a little on the big side. Still, paint the crossbar and lower grille section, and you won't notice a thing (or buy black ).

I would have to agree. Looks like the Veloster front, but thats how they started with the sculptured look on the Sonata and carried it through the line. Maybe its Veloster to set the pace.

i like the revised look too. there was really nothing wrong with the original look, but this one looks more sophisticated.

Hyundai's mouth grille is not the same as Mazda's grin grille.

This is exactly what the Gen coupe needed. The original looked too boy racer...imho.

Anyone know if the chassis has been further tuned?

The original grill on the GS was too small and meek-looking for a sports coupe.

W/ the refresh, Hyundai went too much the otherway, making the grill too big and looking too much like that of the Veloster turbo.

Hyundai seems to have a done a good job w/ the dash/center stack redesign but not exactly digging the changes to the exterior.

That goofy grin was first originated by Peugeot.

I'll wait until I see one in person, but right now I'm not crazy about it. Looks like somebody getting their mouth blown open with a leaf blower.

I bought my car because I like the goofy grin. And I'm pretty sure that Hyundai goofy grin will be attractive to a lot of people.

It definitely looks much aggressive than the current one, that's for sure. That hood vents gotta be go though. Hate nonfunctional vents on the car.

The revised one looks even more boy racer than the previous one does IMO

The front looks alright from that angle. Hard to tell though. Seems like it will look like the Sonata, and I don't mind that at all.

But hood vents??? Really?

I'm not a fan of the new front, although I wasnt of the old one either. It looks like the killed the tails too, I like the rear tails on the old one and just the back in general. Now with the flashiness the new tails have I'm not so sure.

My guess is they are functional, with the bigger turbo, or the V-6 they needed more cooling?
On the spy shots with the camo they had it mesh thing there where the hood vents were to possibly allow for airflow, which makes me believe they are functional, at least one of them.

I'd be perfectly happy with 350HP from the 3.8 or ~300HP/300lb-ft from the Turbo 4.

Really liking that pic at the top of this page. Can't wait to see more.
