Hyundai: Elantra / i30 News
"DETROIT - Hyundai Motor Co. said Friday it's recalling about 120,000 2004- and 2005-model Elantra sedans because of a software problem with its air-bag system.
The automaker said it acted voluntarily in response to a crash test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety."

Hyundais newer cars look quite nice and considering most people only keep a car for 3 years, I can't see there being many problems considering their high initial quality ratings the last couple years.

Both Hyundai and its wholly owned companion brand, Kia, know it takes plenty of pre-production testing to work out the bugs on any new vehicle. That's why they test their new vehicles all over the globe, in all kinds of weather, and on all kinds of roads. And the results are starting to show, with Hyundai getting outstanding results in recent vehicle-quality surveys.
The extent of their testing is shown in these latest shots of a 2007 Hyundai Elantra undergoing testing - with the car in nearly final form a full two years before going into production. This kind of years-long testing program is hugely expensive, but saves money in the long run by eliminating costly product defects and reducing the company's warranty costs.
The new Elantra appears larger than the current Elantra that it will replace, and it has more modern styling with a more rounded roofline and a higher beltline.
The photos give a clear view of the Elantra from front and rear, revealing its styling and clearly showing the dual exhausts, alloy wheels, and fog lights on this deluxe model.

I like the looks of it. It's amazing how all of these "small" cars have grown to make room for even smaller cars. I like the looks of it more than the Corolla, Civic, and Cobalt. It's about what and what with the Sentra, IMO. Ofcourse, I'm just talking subjectively about looks here...

It's a major story. Today's Altima and 1998's Altima are fairly different, and that allows for a larger Sentra that does not too closely resemble a 1995 Sentra [thankfully].

What's wrong with it? The amount of detail on that steering wheel in a 14K car is pretty decent. Look at some of the others in this price range...all you get is an emblem.
And think it looks much better then the Sonata's steering wheel.
