Honda SUT spy pics

They can be seen here PICS And one more pic

I'd hotlink the pics, but Brenda Priddy gets mad about that. It's pretty butch, but I'd take one.

When is this due to hit showrooms? This fall, or next spring?

I think it's next spring. I'm sure Honda wouldn't release two high profile models (New Oddysey and SUT) at the same time. My bold prediction: 3.8L V6 under the hood, with 280hp and 280lb-ft.

Hmmm.... Honda Avalanche?

Seriously, this thing looks like crap and there's no way it'll be very useful. I'd rather buy one of the other Jap trucks.

I don't think this thing was designed to compete with the Titan and Tundra. Its more a niche vehicle for those who want the luxuries of a SUV with some more utlity. A smaller Avalanche and larger Ford Sport Trac if you will. It makes alot of sense to me. I have no constant need for a pickup, but I guess it may come in handy every so often. This thing fits the bill.

Apparenetly towing capacity will be 5000lbs which is more than enough for most boats and cars.

I think it's a good looking "truck". I'd buy one.

Who okay'ed that design? The front end looks like they made no effort at all, and then decided "hey, look, there's a Chevy pick-up. Let's make ours like that."

Disappointed at the first swing into the market.

Junkster, who thinks Nissan or Toyota's swings weren't that great either

Avanlanche copy ... so if this thing doesn't have IMA or something to distinguish it ... why the HECK did Honda make this thing?

I'm not so sure. In some of the pics (the vtec ones especially) it looks very derivative of the Element. You can see a family resemblance anyway. That's not to say it looks good though, because the Element is no beauty queen, but there is some Honda familiarity to it.

I don't like the indents on the side. At least it's not cladding, but I still don't like it. Didn't like it on the concept, was hoping they'd get rid of it for production, but I guess not.

Let's try anyway.

Spy shots from one of my heroes, Brenda Priddy:

I don't really dig it either. I still hope Honda sells a bunch.

Well, it's a Honda, so to many that's enough of a reason to buy it. Plus, I'm not into pickup but if Honda were (did) make one, I would think about getting it as my next vehicle.

I would never in a million years think of owning a domestic truck.

I must have hit quote instead of edit....

Here's some more of the silver one. I wonder how tall that guy is in the first pic. Either he's huge, or this truck is pretty short.

Well, my guess is it'll be about as tall as a Pilot...maybe a tad taller.

Actually, I think there are two people in that one. One person is in the back (this person's foot is the one we see), and then the driver is getting in, and that is not his foot.
