I dunno, I don't think a crx would be based on a ctr for the same reason we don't have a ctr here.
Based off the civic, it would kinda make the coupe TypeRish/hfp package without all the extra costs of getting a CTR federalized for the US streets.
With the fit and civc here, I don't see how there is room for another compact like the euro civic that could really sell in volumes to make a profit/doable.
Think it makes sense to have the fit with 3 versions though, like the wagon, sedan, and then a crx coupe.

… but what's this? In 1984 Honda USA made this television advertisement for the Civic CRX, showing Rhonda Fulcher driving her Honda to visit her parents in Fonda, Iowa.
Did the 21-year-old Anthony Ray see this ad over and over on Seattle TV, which caused the words "Rhonda Honda Fonda" to buzz around in his head until a couple of them spilled out onto his lyrics notepad nearly a decade later? Maybe not, but one fact is clear: the '84 CRX would have offered about the best combination of fuel efficiency, comfort, and reliability for repeated 120-miles-each-way trips across Iowa; one year later, the even stingier CRX HF became available in the United States, boasting 48 highway mpg.
