My whole argument is based on the assumption that the car won't be much of a performer. If it is then I'll gladly be wrong.
Mitani also mentioned something about the CR-Z getting a new IMA system. I can only assume this will be different from the one found in the Insight.

I wonder what new IMA they are working on? I think the current system is elegant, but limited in power output. Maybe a move to LiOn batteries? Does anybody know if the current system disengages the engine from the electric system to allow "electric only" operation?

Thanks for the link. The CR-Z is great looking. Sorry, Moog, I love the grille on this one. Give us a commuter variant with awesome gas mileage, and one with a hi-po engine, and Honda is pretty much done. Call them CR-Z HF and CR-Z Si or R.

It is very nice looking. Its a great example of distinctive styling done right. And it screams Honda. The FT-86 while nice, could pretty much be from anywhere. Mazda comes to mind.

I do like the overall design....for sure it's a CRX throwback...and that's cool.
The proposed Hybrid powerplant is what sux.
Put the RSX turbo 4 in this bad boy, and lets rock the casbah

RDX Turbo engine in this would be insane!! But then if they gave us what we actually wanted they wouldn't be Honda....
Btw, just noticed that front overhang....

Yea, I dunno why Honda is running from being sporty.
They have the ability, and for some reason they are pissing it away.
S2000
Where have all the cool, sporty Honda vehicles gone?
Where are the pocket rockets of yester-year?
Clearly they have left NA.
Maybe this hatch is gonna have a trick up its sleeve

I'm the Firestarter
Looks cool but you know they're going to neuter it with 15" wheels, old-skool halogen lights, regular rear-view mirrors and no fancy blue highlights.

1.5-liter FTL.
Could you imagine if Honda would have put that turbo 4cyl under the hood......

I doubt it'll be as bad as 15" What does the Insight have? I'll bet this is Plus 1". Of course it will have regular mirrors and halogens. Blue lighting on the exterior is illegal (in my state) but regardless of color, they are not a production feature.

Wow no back seat would kill this vehicle. If this has the same electric motor as the Insight with the Fit's 1.5 liter this thing will have less horse power than the base Civic (which already gets decent mileage). The CR-Z might be a tough sell unless it gets over 50 mpg.

This car shouldnt be just a hybrid, they should have a hot engine option for those enthusiasts that want one.
