ha...shut up. vtec.net reported that it will get k24. I hope honda will give it some balls and give it 225-240 hp to get it closer to performance to ms3/wrx and others so it puts it on top. I remember when i had my 98 prelude sh ALL the boys wanted an Electron Blue Pearl SI. It was 19k and all you needed was a AEM CAI to break you into the 14's. Hopefully the new SI will be a high 14's stock. the base motor will be R20 155hp. It powers jdm crv.

The new Civic is HOT. I like it. They did not mess it up. Repeat, they DID NOT SCREW IT UP!
Please let this be the first sign that future Honda styling will be better.
Long live Honda! Planning to go to Detroit for the NAIAS probably this weekend to see it in person....

i'll say it again, it doesn't look that bad.
think the coupe doesn't need that little peek-a-boo in the front bumper, but i guess they wanted to make it more interesting to look at.

I asked for two competitors that outperform the Civic. The two that were given do not outperform it. I would say yes, it is the competitors fault for releasing a car in 2010 that cannot perform another in the same class that was released in 2005 (Civic). The 2011 Elantra has already been shown to be slower and get less mileage than the Civic in the real world.

Dude, relax. If you actually read my post, you would have seen that I asked for two cars with more advanced powertrains that outperform the Civic. Will a powertrain improve handling? Use some common sense.

I am hoping this is a sign that future Honda external design will not suck. The coupe... The sedan is also quite aggressive-looking.
I think this Honda design is a win .

i can definitely see the side mirrors not being so sleek/raked like it is. not sure if the blacked out headlights will make it to production...even for the Si version. definitely won't be for the regular family oriented sedan.
dare I say - production version will have longer overhangs, a la TL?

I just noticed the rear wing on the coupe is like the NSX, where it's part of the sheetmetal, not just added on like most rear wings. Hope that makes it to production.

Well no doubt it's an upgrade. Solid.
I'm imagining it w/o the tinted windows, blacked out headlights, and the wheels. I don't necessarily think its for me but I'll wait for the real thing. But from the outset, it looks alright. Whether it ages well remains to be seen.

Three Wheelin'
Another production unknown is if they will go with smaller versions of the wheel design. The design is very Mazda...IMO Honda production wheels have been relatively weak the past several years, so we'll see if this is a positive sign of things to come.

I never did like the 8G sedan but at least this is an improvement over it. The coupe looks really good and with the good looks of the current generation Accord coupe hopefully this is a sign of good things to come in the Honda/Acura design departments.

I just can't help but feel we'll once again get let down by power train details. At least as far as the Si is concerned. Hope I'm wrong.

fully dressed up looks alright, but it really looks like they copied kia..
Dressed down plain versions. Thats what i would like to see to get to see what i will see the most of on the road. I still think they could have done better, especially since this is the 2nd redesign of this car.

The wheels we've seen on Si test mules were the same style as the ones on the concept. Honda always seems to test with the wheels that make it to production. Just not sure they're the same size.
