So following the laws of physics

the new Civic would have infinite acceleration.

I'm willing to bet it'll surpass 40k. Depends how you option it out though. I'm sure you can get just the car for 36-38k. If you want the aero kit, Honda sensing safety package, performance package, blah blah, it'll crack 40k.
Well... i am driving auto now. So no they can't! yah i got the Pshhhh too

at $40k+, as good as the CTR might be, it will be hard to justify for a Civic...

But you can justify it for a Focus?

Appreciate the info. At 40K, CTR isn't the right buy for me.

I'm just speculating. I see it being the same price as the focus, or very close, even if it doesn't have AWD.

Honda is world leader in high speed aerodynamic efficiency. This 2012 Euro CRV is 1800kg with RDX size tires and older 2.2IDTEC with 6MT it can still get unbeatable mpg.

Honda CR-V 2012 Road Test | Road Tests | Honest John
Honda CR-V 2012 Road Test
It pulls well and confidently, is sensibly geared at 50kmh/1,000rpm in 6th and appeared happy to cruise at 160kmh all day, traffic permitting. And, strangely, in Eco mode. Yes, even at 100mph the speedometer was glowing green, and 7.1 litres per 100km average is comfortably over 40mpg.

I'm in the minority but after seeing it in person, it just confirms my feelings about not liking the way it looks. I do, however, like the interior much better than before. I'm sure this thing will sell like hotcakes.

No one cares about the Euro CRV We're in North America. Show me one 2012 CRV with a 6MT here

Will be stopping by Honda today for some filters, will try to check out a new Civic while I'm there too.
Depending on how close it is to rush hour, may take one for a drive.

Nope That is why i am not getting any one of them. haha

but you know that is all personal preferences, but if i must take 1 from the 3 (Golf R, RS and CTR), then RS would be my choice.

Turns out one of the pads was bonded to the inside of the new rotor. These are the factory pads with about 28000 miles on them.

The more i see it on the road the more i like it. other than those ugly wheels.

with a nice set of 18s and slightly lowered, it will look very good.

^ Think Honda could have also done w/ less of the chrome trim up front and the taillights being more elegantly done at the rear (looks better on the hatch version).

But overall, an improvement on the prior generic looking version.

But the biggest improvement is in the dash design.

The Mazda3 is still the best driver in the segment, but this is probably the best all-arounder right now.

^^^Agreed 100% on the chrome. It's not a super elegant design to me. But it looks tons better than previous models.

I was thinking on this the other day, since my Civic jumped timing & is in the shop.
If it needed to be replaced with another practical sedan. I'd likely go with either a 6MT Mazda 3S Hatchback, or a 6MT Mazda6 Touring.

Luckily, no valvetrain damage to mine so it's back to saving up for a 2017 MX5!

Here's a dyno plot of the FK2 Civic Type R, before and after tune:
Honda Civic Type R 2015 Chip Tuning/ECU Upgrade | Ecu Performance

And here's a clip of a chipped FK2 vs a modded 385whp S3:

Last but not least, here's a quote by Shawn Church from Church Automotive Tuning (Found of TOV):
While I can't reveal too much, hondata has been doing extensive testing and tuning on their CTR at my shop. The engine is quite underrated (close to 300 whp) and has lots of potential. Gains of 50-60 hp with just a tune are not unreasonable even on California 91 octane swill. About the only drawback to this engine is that it is much laggier than the German 2.0 turbos. But it also has a lot more power potential on the factory turbo. Think of the response as a little better than an EVO X but with more potential.

Not into the rear, this is how it looks like. The civic Logo < ivi >

Did they not pay attention to the crab claws on the 2013 Camry?

Unibrow chrome, ehhh.. Should of learned from the infamous beak.

297.5hp to 362.8hp? Nice.

273lb-ft tq (371.4nm) to 331lb-ft tq (448.8nm)?

Solid numbers. I'm really curious about traction.

lol tell me about it. Just finished building a 98 Civic with a B20+B16 engine and with the power steering removed. After the tune, it makes about 206hp and 160lbft at the wheels. I decided to have a little fun.....now I fully understand what torque steer is...lol...can't imagine putting a turbo on this....

You want torque steer? Try driving a V8 cadillac with the NorthStar engine. That takes it to a whole new level.
