18" would work on the CTR, so that's also an option for me. I think the OZ Ultraleggera HLT would be nice. 18"x8.5" is like 18lb or something.

I personally thing 18" rims would still look fine, considering that's what the Civic Sport has right now and I don't really think they are tiny.

Thanks Phil! Championship White has always been my favourite color but never had the opportunity to own one.

I will for sure post an update once I've passed the break-in period. I am guessing I will be there next month.
That's not true at all- the G37, 370, and I believe even the G35 and 350 all used 5x114.3. True story.

Wait does the Type R not have a rear middle seat? R&T lists 4 doors 4 seats...

Can't recall any press shots showing the back seat...

The previous Civic Type-Rs have always been four-seaters.

A brand-new Honda Civic Type R made it all of 151 miles before being plowed into last Sunday. There was no “VTEC yo” fun to be had, as Greg Ellingson and his gray Type R took the rest of the ride home from Boston to Philadelphia via tow truck.

Thankfully, neither Ellingson nor any of the others involved in the accident were hurt, but the Type R was a bit worse for wear. According to Ellingson’s Facebook post, he was stopped in his lane on the highway in heavy traffic when he was rear-ended by someone going about 30 mph. He says he didn’t see the person behind him coming at all.

The height of the wing appears to have spared it from the brunt of the damage.PHOTO BY GREG ELLINGSON
The Type R is smashed in both the front and back because Ellingson's car was pushed into the vehicle directly in front of him after the heavy impact. In terms of getting his money back for the freshly totaled mega-hatch, Ellingson says he has declared value insurance, so he expects to get every penny he put into it. He’s thinking his insurance company will total the car, which unfortunately might mean he’s out of luck when it comes to Type R ownership, though. The front-wheel-drive Nurburgring king is a rare bird in these parts, and people are snapping them up before they even make it to dealer lots.

It’s a true shame to see this incredible car meet such a quick end. There’s still plenty of it intact, however; we’re sure enthusiasts out there would pay a pretty penny for non-smashed Type R bits and bobbles -- especially those seats still wrapped in plastic, we’ll take those.

Lol, I meant the Civic Type R have 5x120 rims, unlike regular Civics or G37/370z.

I'm not sure why the CTR has different bolt pattern than the other Civics....

Yup! It's a 4-seater. The middle part are some cup holders and storage space. If you want 5 seats, you can order the seat from Europe or Japan.

The laptime looks pretty good, too bad the car was overheating at our most popular track though.

Hope Honda will address the issue.
