Have you guys seen the new Prius? It's a bigger car than the old Prius, and bigger than the Civic hybrid. So technically we're talking about a midsize hybrid vs. a compact hybrid, and in this country, in general the bigger the car the better it tends to sell. I'm not surprised that the Prius sells so well, it's also backed up by celebrities who drove it to the Oscars to protest the war in Iraq. You don't see Cameron Diaz driving around with a Civic hybrid...

Hmmm...Maybe I should wait to buy a car until that Accord comes out?!!

the civic hybrid battery is warrantied for 8 years, meaning it will perform like the day you bought it or you can replace it. Honda says it will perform like this at least 8 years - considering honda overpowers and underates their engines - i suspect the batteries will last quite a while where the ability to recharge itself fully is maintained up to and beyond the 8 year warranty. And the batteries cost about 2100 - i checked with parts...

Accord Concept - Whatchu ThinK?
What you guys think of the Accord Concept? I think its smokin, even better looking than the A-Spec 04 TL
Designed around the concept of a 'true sports sedan', the Accord Sports Study's dynamic exterior incorporates a muscular design built on the image of a super-fit human form, to further accentuate the Accord's sporty styling.

Ya I love that car, Could someone tell me if its the JDM Accord (TSX) or the US Accord Modified?
I am thinking its a Upscale TSX, but it should be a Acura.. If it has the interior and features of the TL than I would take it in a heart beat!

Accord sports study model for Geneva Motorshow 2003
The theme for this unique sports study model of the Honda Accord is "MUSCLE-TEC DESIGN". This car is a true performance saloon, enhancing the sporty "spirit" of the Honda Accord.
Its powerful and strong body presence draws attention but the look is complemented by top quality materials. Aluminium, carbon fibre and leather are used extensively.
The dynamic front bumper shape creates an aggressive expression, as does the rear bumper with its air diffuser.
The extreme "sporty" character translates itself into carbon fibre aero parts and 19 inch alloy wheels. In combination with the wide wheel arches, with a wide track, it creates a bold, eye- catching look.
The high standard of materials for the exterior was also applied to the interior. Aluminium, leather and Alcantara™ were used extensively on sport seats, the 3 spoke steering wheel, meter dials and gear shift knob.
Although this car will not go into production, it is a reflection of Honda’s racing heritage and the corporate philosophy "The Power of Dreams".

Thats the Accord sport concept that was on display this summer at the geneva auto show. Its the euro accord, aka TSX not the USDM accord.
Here's a previous thread we had discussing this car....

What a pretty interior. Steering wheel's gonna be HOT sitting in the sun, though.

i'd definately want to drive that Accord, err Tsx. What color is that Accord? If that is graphite grey, I'm pissed cause they should've put that as a color option for the Tsx, that looks better than carbon grey. Also, are Japan, Europe, and the USA only get this kind of Accord/Tsx style? Honda of Amer. should've just taken this Accord as their US Accord instead of the ugly fatty one they designed.

But the interior is the same, I wish we could've had that interior as an option. It looks like it's real aluminum so I'm guessing it's expensive, but I'd pay for it.

i dont particularly like the underbody part of the rear. however i hope tat front grille is applied onto the TSX cuz it looks agressively good looking. and those rims look similar to what Mazda offers.
